Man, that's sad. Thank the lord Canada is surrounded by water. And hopefully, Trudeau's band of world police pick and choose decent Syrians to come over.

I don't follow European culture, but historically isn't Germany suppose to be the country in Europe (or one of them), that has a more "macho and manly" grittiness to them? I'm not talking Nazi shit, but just an overall attitude of Germans standing proud and tall and not taking shit from people (kind of like Russians).

I guess I'm wrong and German government are passive and wimpy.

Yes, Germans are very direct and to the point. Their government is just pushing a failing policy.

It's coming. I am an immigrant, came here 20 years ago. But the current group of immigrants are coming here changing things before they even settle down. In my day I had to conform, being in another man or woman's country. I had to get educated, get a job, etc. I had to earn what I got. Never got Leafs tickets, never got free housing. Would never dare go to court and demand anything. But times have changed.

yep. my grandmother is terrified of Trudeau now and what will happen to Canada, considering she lived through what his father did in the 70s.
she came here in the early 20s, got a job within a month being here, learned the language and worked that same job until retirement.
now it's free handouts at taxpayer's expense. fuck

After WWII many laws were enacted in Germany and Japan while under US control. While these laws were put in for practical reasons, unknown consequences have resulted from these laws. Japan was not asked to send troops to help in the Gulf War. While the United States was in control of the provisional government in Japan after the war, the constitution of Japan was changed so that the military of Japan could only used for self defense and no longer be sent out of the country.

In Germany many laws were enacted or changed so that one group can not discriminate against another as the Jews were discriminated against. As a result, under these laws refugees can not be turned away once they are in the country. Especially refugees with children. In usual times refugees were allowed in individually or as a family, but in recent events hoards just barged in walking through at the border. Once they are in the country Germany's own laws protect them.

This country is built on waves of immigration.
The only problems are when too many from one country come at one time and set up in one region and don't fully integrate.
Now we get communities in Brampton or other burbs that become a big 'little India', but I don't think there will be enough Syrian refugees settling in any one place to make that happen.

Mayor's an idiot. He says something that would get any local citizen riled up. Then, after seeing the reaction, he doubles down trying to defend what he said. And then he totally dismisses their concerns!

I am a US citizen. About 30 years ago, I had a job where we had a client in Montreal. It was horrendous trying to get into the country just to work for a few days. Now Trudeau and Obama is going to allow just about anyone to waltz right in. They have no idea of the background of any of these people. They can be anything from simple obnoxious perverts to terrorists. Both Trudeau and Obama will sit behind guarded walls, and to hell with everyone else.

And same deal goes to the pope. I would like to know how many refugees are now living inside the walls of the Vatican.

I live in the US. Walking around in my city, it is the native born, crack addicted, crystal snorting, heroin shooting people that I worry about. The immigrants, including the illegal immigrants, have jobs...

I would not have an issue with the immigration if they properly screened out islamists. You know, the ones who actually follow the example of their prophet Muhammad and the teachings found in the Koran and Hadith.

We have allowed leftest political correctness to ignore a genocidal totalitarian ideology and pretend terrorism has nothing to do with Islam.

This is what happens when you let liberal women and feminine men run your countries. They try to destroy it for all time.

Random thoughts:

The worse the situation is in Germany, the higher chance of Trump getting elected in US....

After Trump fuked up US, Americans will run to Canada, then we will elect a new PM to build a wall on the border and let the Americans pay for it..(Joke)
