Fast forward to the 1:40 mark

Okay, this guy pisses me off even more than the last guy.

The delivery driver delivered to a nice house, and the woman tipped $5 on a $20 pizza (25%).

When the owner thanked him, he replied, "You're welcome" in a sarcastic voice.

He gave the owner an attitude, and said that for someone living in such a nice house, $5 was great tip (he said it sarcastically).

Whenever I deliver, and the owner thanks me, I reply with, "thank you" since they are the customer, and gave me a tip.

But what pisses me off is that these fucking losers expect to be tipped 30-40% nowadays. They have no skills, and are stuck at the bottom because they can't do anything else. They get pissed off at seeing people with loads of money and are envious and bitter. The owner's are succesful because they worked hard and made good decisions in their life. You should be grateful for any tip, and a getting $5 for delivering a $20 pizza is more than generous. I wonder how much that piece of shit tips when he's ordering? He will also be a loser with that attitude.

Does this loser think that if you live in a nice house you need to pay more than other people? Fucked in the head. They have bills to pay too. They are not there to give out free money to losers like him.

Actually the "You're welcome" was by the lady. To that he replied "Fuck you".

This entitled asshole needs a kick in the ass. 25% is a big tip for a delivery. What the fuck.

Who is in the right on this one? COVID guidelines aside, I do get pissed off if the delivery guy doesn't come up to my apartment. I pay to have food door delivered. Most in the comments seem to be supporting the delivery driver, but am not so sure.

As a delivery driver, you're obligated to bring it up.

I deliver for instacart, and have had to haul a whole trunkload of groceries up several flights in apartments a few times. The delivery driver is just being lazy. He is 100% in the wrong, and using COVID as an excuse. He can simply drop it off at her door.

There were a couple times I was given a one-star (terrible) rating by customers after I hauled their huge order of groceries to their apartment. Pissed me off royally.

The vast majority of the time, these people tend to tip more for the inconvenience, so it works out.

There are so many entitled people with the loser mentality in this life and not only in the food delivery business. There are also many people who start off with nothing who have great winning attitudes, work hard and succeed despite facing hurdles (language, racism, intelligence etc.). The 'losers' you mention are people who waste their youth and adult life playing around too much, not taking advantage of free education/resources and even if quotas/special programs have been set up for them. When it's too late and they're stuck in crap, low paid work they think anyone with success is lucky/the right race/sex etc. and they start to behave badly (sulking at 25% tips, smashing up the place, assaulting people physically and/or verbally, robbery and going on riots and demonstrations etc.) There's a guy in his 40s like that I play tennis with occasionally though I try to avoid him like the plague...at the bottom of the totem pole on a construction site earning $30 per hour plus benefits holding the stop sign, sweeping up occasionally..pretty good wage for a brainless dogs body type of job...he's probably at the peak of his career..he's always complaining "you guys are on the big bucks...just lucky..you guys should buy us drinks" (a group of us who play earn $250-500k a year each probably), "foreigners take all the good jobs" and all that crap while he's the only one of us who had a privileged upbringing and is a lazy POS who does nothing to try to improve himself. When he says we're lucky and rich I remind him he is also rich..he's rich in memories of having a good time while we were all slaving making money and building our careers. He still turns up late for work and is bitching to us about his foreman having it in for him since he turns up late almost every day citing he has kids (even though they don't even live with him!)

So true, they are everywhere.

I am a big blackjack player, and bet heavy (hundreds of dollar a hand sometimes). Of course, in the long run I end up losing a lot of money because the house has the advantage.

However, there are many dealers who are envious of my big wins, and are bitter. They expect to be tipped $25 or more if I win a hand of let's say $500. They just don't understand that even though I just won $500, I will most likely give it back in a few hands, and that if I kept tipping so much, I would be basically tipping hundreds of dollars each time I play blackjack, on top of the hundreds of dollars I'd be losing in the long run.

Some dealers give me a very bad attitude, and make sarcastic comments even when I do tip. They scoff if I tip a $1 for a win, simply because I am betting big. However, over an hour, those $1 tips add up to maybe $15-20, which is generous. What do they do to deserve the tips? Absolutely nothing, just dealing cards. Yet, they expect to get paid a percent of our wins and sulk and give attitude when they don't get what they want.

These casino workers get paid $15 an hour, and earn up to $20 an hour in tips, for a $35 an hour wage. Yet, they only took a course that lasted a few months to lear how to deal. They are unionized, have great benefits, and are earning as much as a college grad.

My father came to Canada, worked as a janitor at night, while raising a family and pursuing full-time studies at the University of British Columbia. He face a lot of racism, and hardship, but never complained, he just worked his ass off. Now he is a multimillionaire and retired, and lives very frugally. My parents are very careful with their money, and the only luxury they indulge in is a meal at a restauarant every week. Even then, they use the coupons they get in the mail.

This generation is fucked up. They don't want to work full-time jobs, not even part-time jobs. Just gig jobs that allow them to work when they want. And they get pissed because they aren't being tipped enough. Go to the reddit forums of instacart and dash drivers, and see how much they complain.

Total respect to your father and anyone like him who built a better life for themselves through their own efforts (work/career/managing their money/not being stupid and spending all the money on drugs or some Air Jordans or some crap they can't afford but want to look the part) There are many immigrant success stories similar to your fathers. There are also many immigrant and local stories where people have not succeeded in life (if wealth and self sufficiency is deemed as success) and instead of having the winners/not lazy/buck stops with them mentality become jealous, citing luck in the successful persons favor (even though the successful person did not have a head start and faced discrimination) and citing various discrimination against themselves even though they had opportunities and they start rioting, getting violent, bitching about 20% tips not being enough etc.

Edit - actually my friend similar to your father worked as a Janitor through university and was laughed at by other students (some probably from wealthy backgrounds). The guy just turned 50 - he's probably worth $5 million by my estimates and is semi-retired. He didn't have a spectacular career (80k income apart from some 200k consulting gigs that I got him) but was just sensible and had a winners and self sufficient mentality
