My fondest memory was getting chestnuts during winter and seeing the same person every winter who used to work inside this very old tree that died and he used it for shelter. The trunk and stump was so big that he could fit all his equipment in the big void in trunk. I remember getting the chestnuts rolled up newspapers and warming my hands on the nearby bench as we had wool gloves.
