Why do some/many/most women want to be thin, thinner and thinnest? I prefer my women to have some meat on their bones.

I liked Charlize Theron and then she went thin.

I liked Anya Taylor Joy and then she went thin. Her cheeks are now sunken and I can see her ribs. Pussy looks shrunken too.

Three reasons I can think of:

Supply and Demand: The number of women who are both thin and attractive facially is significantly less than the number of men who want one as their partner. Any commodity in the market will have a premium value when demand exceeds supply.

It's also common for men to want something primarily because other men want it. Possession of anything coveted by others confers status in a Capitalist economy.

Thin women have more difficulty conceiving, and carrying a child to term, than women with more robust physiques. This is an advantageous trait for the man who is primarily interested in recreational, rather than procreation-al sex. It's no coincidence that the Western idea of the ideal female figure was curvy immediately after World War II and in the 1950's, when the goal of many men was to have large families. The thin model type first became popular in the mid 1960's, at the same time that birth control pills came in to common use.

This is a very good question.

However, this is the type of pressure that society puts on women. If we aren't skinny or dont have model looks then we are considered ugly, fat or the bottom of the bottom.

Society is used to girls looking like Beyonce, Kim kardashian , Paris Hilton , etc. I think the media plays a huge part in how woman think they should look.

I think if everyone just remembered that everyone was made different and that it is OK to have a different body type than somebody else ; the world might be a happier place. I will say that the key of happiness is to NOT care what society or others think of you.

I’m naturally more attracted to slimmer women, always have been. Not that I can’t appreciate the beauty of a woman with more curves, and I have enjoyed the company of many and have had several great times. I’m not so much a big big boob / big ass guy, preferring smaller breasts, with a cute tight butt, and toned arms and legs. But the great thing is that there are all types of beauty, and someone for everyone. Just like some girls prefer guys who are young, ripped, clean cut and super fit, others prefer a guy with a bit of a dad bod, beard and a few grey hairs.

There are a lot of different versions of beauty out there.

I hear you. One of my best male friends in university and I used to go clubbing together. We had very different taste in women so we almost never hit on the same woman.
Lucky thing. You don’t want to be competing with your bro. Lol

And men love this. This is wha society makes women think they should look like.

I didn’t even notice her ribs or hip bone. I saw perky tits, flat stomach, etc.
It’s strange, but (This is only my opinion and observation) women are more worried about what other women think. They are more concerned with competing with other women with clothes and makeup. Most guys like a few curves on a woman. We don’t want them to skinny. There is a limit to what is attractive, personal preference I don’t want a huge girl. I would however find a little extra weight better than too skinny. But hey, I’m just a guy….

I use to scratch my head when someone's concept of sexual attractiveness was the polar opposite of mine.
For example:

My reaction to the mom above was - who the hell would get aroused enough to actually impregnant her ?
Now I realize that we all have different standards - and personal preference is just that - personal. The problem was that I was superimposing my own preferences on everyone else. Once I was able to recognize that, I gave it no thought to diverse couples including GAY.

I have come to envy those with diverse sexual attraction preferences to mine ...

My preferences seem much harder to satisfy.

I also have a bit of a problem with the anti-fat shaming campaign. I don't have a problem with people accepting their own body, but I wonder how much of it is actually promoting an unhealthy lifestyle.

You have no argument from me. I am sick and tired of thin, anorexic women. Not healthy. I love them curvy or BBW...every time....
Liking bbw is a blessing in this society. If I liked fat women I’d probably had more free sex than I could handle.

I think women want to be thin because that's what society as a whole defines as "pretty" "attractive" and "sexy" From personal experience I would also say that thinner fit women are more facially attractive compared to women who have a few extra pounds. Not saying there are no exceptions to this rule but generally the women who keep themselves in shape and we might consider "thin" are the ones that get the most attention from both women and men which adds to the perception that "thin" and "fit" equals sexy.
