There is way too much downside to being a good provider. As a guy once burned, I haven't "checked out" - but I'm fully aware of what most North American ladies are ultimately in search of. A partner with a wallet.
The key for guys is to search for female partners not just for their looks but also for their wallets. If a sexless marriage is ultimately the endgame, a man might as well live really well on a solid dual income and be able to provide all the best amenities to the kids. This also frees up more of his own money for hobbying and if things end in divorce both parties remain intact because both brought similar income to the table.

I'll never settle for a woman that doesn't make the same money that I do. I don't care how hot she, she has to come with more than good looks. Some things really do need to be equal between men and women in a relationship in 2014 and most importantly it's income level.

Last year a woman I know commented that the world was full of broke ass losers who had no time or money to be worth dating. For the first time ever, I felt really sorry for guys who have lost half and been stuck with big bills. Her comment was directed at guys with kids who had lost at marriage. Personally, her attitude made me feel quite disgusted.
Last year a 22 year old woman I know was browsing a dating app on her phone and commented to me that all the guys on there were losers. As she was browsing, there were profile photos of attractive young guys by the dozens. In her mind, they were losers because they most likely didn't have lots of money.

She was average looking at best, with a fake and bad attitude, but believed she was beautiful and would eventually marry a guy that has money. The chances of her accomplishing this are slim to none but I won't be the bearer of bad news. Everyday there is a new hot 18 year old vying for the top spot. Deep down inside she knows it. They all do, but they go thru life telling themselves lies, and have too much pride to acknowledge it. It just makes the day of reckoning all the more painful for them as they age. "The worst lies are the ones we tell ourselves"

Because in today's society, people do not want to offend anyone (like you also did not even raise the question of why does she think she can get more than what she brings to the table?), are raising brats with a sense of unfair entitlement with no track record of achievement and there are also no consequences for poor decision making. We are reaping what has been sowed.

It's less about offending her and more to do with using ones resources wisely. You cannot argue with or raise logical questions to a 22 year old brat. It's pointless. She won't listen to a word you're saying regardless of its merits. She's a grown independent woman - too far gone to embed sense into through discourse.

Brats can ignore a good talk but they can't escape the realities of life. It always catches up to them.

I wasn't blaming you. :)

She will understand what you're saying but you're right that she won't make the life changes to get on the "right path".

Btw....all this starts with poor parenting and they manifest during 20s and early 30s. Hopefully, by mid to late 30s, there's still redemption. I think this explains why I see so many chicks on PoF and OkC looking for a guy, expecting a lot and having minimum wage jobs. yah righttttt!

There is little room for redemption in my experience. If a woman is in her late 20s or early 30s and is still broke, you would do good to stay far away from her if you're financially sound/successful. Women at that age are envious and it manifests in a variety of terrible ways.

Think about it for a second. A woman who is losing her greatest asset in the relationship game (her looks and youth) and is broke (she failed to convert her looks and youth into cash which is a huge advantage a woman has over men trying to make money because they cannot sell their sex), stumbles upon a guy who against all odds has his life in order, is established, and makes decent income so he has endless options when it comes to obtaining sex and relationships, as shallow as almost all of them are destined to be. A 30 year old woman observing this feels insecure, powerless, humiliated, and envious simultaneously. Believe me, stay far away.

yep!! But I think someone failed them - parents maybe? Why would a guy date a chick like that unless she has something to offer in return?

The power balance shifts in the 30s as a decade of work pays off for men and women are just a decade older (unless they've done something with their lives) and quickly approaching their use-by-date.

The court system is sexist, assuming stay at home moms that need support when what we often have is spoiled women looking for a pussy pass on life.

Parenting may play a role but blame cannot be put solely on their shoulders. We interact with many people in life. Our parents play a central role in our early years however individuals attain a strong sense of autonomy by their early teens. I don't believe in many of the things my parents do. My politics and theory of human nature is diametrically opposed to my parents. I'm a thinking being that has taken in everything in my environment from friends, teachers, books, etc and came away with my own views and attitudes. If I am a jerk, it's not the fault of my parents. It's because I've decided to become a jerk. Maybe I think being a jerk will get me the things I want in life. We all make the individual choice to go through life as we see fit, during and long after the influence of our parents.

If you're a broke guy you have nothing to lose, except your sanity to female created drama. But you have access to pussy to gain. Pussy is the driving force for so much of male behaviour.

yeah and that's where i see some of these threads about black guys and seemingly endless pussy and I LOL inside because guys like that have nothing to lose!

yes it is the driving force for a lot of male behavior but at some point, one's gotta grow up and ask what's the real worth of a chick except her looks? Shouldn't guys be doing that?

If you find a good one (attractive, genuinely thoughtful, decent, independent and intelligent without the feminist crutch, good paying job), woe her and lock it down thru marriage and a kid. It's indeed slim pickings out there.

Let's face it a few things have changed over the past few years.

1) People's view on religion has changed over the years, more people are becoming either atheist, agnostic and/or spiritual, but spirituality is the bigger one of the three. Tthe "traditional" belief in marriage has weakened in a lot of people's own eyes, except of course for the crazy extremists who kill their families and themselves if things go awry.

2) The internet. The ease of meeting people, takes seconds and that's it, done. Meeting and talking to people face to face on the street, in a store, work, wherever isn't as prevalent. ie - dating sites/apps and forums.

3) The internet (again). The influence of media through the internet, videos, etc, people have some become so insanely materialistic, self-absorbed (selfies, who has more friends, people looking for adulation, etc).

Society as a whole has changed immensely and I don't think it's going to get any better either.
TheSe are my opinions, they're not right or wrong, but I think I'm kinda/sorta right to a degree. lol

In the sad acknowledgement of this thread, I'm watching Season 1, Ep 2 of Sex and the City and this thread and these two episodes from the late 1990s sound like Toronto, circa Dec 2014. :(

I told you this in the sugarbaby thread, but you said they sexually service guys their age for free because guys their age have no money, only student debts.

Your very close to the mark !! Especially when it comes to the internet. But I believe within a caring family unit, there is still much influence with our younger ones, when it comes, to the the true values in life.
But I have to admit, I for one when younger, was not brought up on the internet (Social Media). And still to this day avoid it like a plague. Once our generation is gone. Who Knows ???

It's going to be a selfish, vile world, I can't imagine it. I'm glad grew up without all this tech shit and internet. It meant we had to think for ourselves, socialize, GET OUT and do things.

Everyone, especially the younger kids are all about their cell phones, apps/games, everyone looks down, not up, or eye to eye. There's a HUGE detachment among people now.
If people don't have social skills now, I can't imagine how they'll be when they're put into a social setting where everyone has to talk to each other.

For me, the kicker was seeing this ad at a bus stop one day, that's when I stopped and thought to myself "society is fucked when we need reminders (as grown people) to LOOK UP when we're walking."

=Rank5;5119331I'm one of the young men who checked out of society that this article is talking about.

I'm 25 years old and make good money. I don't have a girlfriend and bang escorts about once a week. When I'm about 35 and have a bunch of money saved up I plan to get a 20 year old bride from latin america or asia to start a family with. Or alternatively, i'll just move to thailand and bang ladyboys for the rest of my life.

Sorry to hear dude. As a guy in his 20s as well, I always end up gravitating towards meeting real women after a streak of hobbying.
I hobby to get my fetishes n kinks out the way, then I hit on girls n pick em up n eventually keep 1 for my GF.
Nothing beats knowing a girl is fucking you for you alone and not $. I must not be the only one who shares this sentiment. And isnt this why alotta guys fall for SPs?
We all need the love.

Personally, I find it hard to even see Canadian women is sexual objects, they have the same impact on me as men. Go overseas and women as sooooo different. I just see most Canadian women as I would another person. Very few intrigue me sexually.
Most people I come across with this sentiment, are either these 2 in category.
1) you just like foreign girls and culture.period.

2) you lack personality and assertiveness, and you find it hard to let your male ego be on the same equal playing field as the females. You expect girls to be all over you without any proof of personality, charm.
The females judge us by what we say, and do, and how we can maneuver socially.
Whats the difference between us judging a girl wether she has a nice ass or big enough tits.

Foreign girls are usually just happy that you're North american and give her the time of day.

Which is why in north america, when you go to a bar club and meet someone and hookup, it is uniquely special and rewarding and why everyone goes out saturday night.
It means you passed the screens, good looking. Check. Hair.check. talks good, makes me laugh, my friends like him, flirtatious, good with social cues to take the hint wether my place or yours. And to get a 2nd date meant you were a stud in bed.

North american women to my knowledge are the least of gold diggers compared to many other countries.
The fact that most of us are around middle class means that if you're doing decent, e.g. own place, car .
And if you can just be a cool charming guy, fun to be around, legs spread.

Caveat : nothing against dudes who like girls overseas more, im just a bit annoyed when some of these guys, who actually would infact like a North American girl, but are unable to find success or are just being used for money, blame it on the girls being bitchy, unattractive or whatnot.

Pretty much, dont bash on North American women. I love em.

End rant.
