AFAIK, there are few, if any Provincial development charges unless the property borders on a provincial highway or if it requires MNR or MoE input. There may be some Ontario Power Generation or Hydro distribution charges in there but I'm not up to date on these.Correct.
So from what levels of government do most of these taxes come from?
My point is that most are municipal and federal, not provincial.
I think the Feds only take GST. Maybbe some direct carbon tax too?
Holy shit, I just looked up the basic development charges for the City of Toronto! $137,000 for a single family or semi-detached home! $52k for a 1 bedroom condo.

Plus, I don't know if the municpalities still have a parkland commitment or 5% cash-in-lieu charges on the value of the rezoned/newly develioped land itself.
Then you also have School Board and maybe local electrical utility infrastructure charges.
