Russia cannot defeat Ukraine or the West – and will likely lose - if the West mobilizes its resources to resist the Kremlin.
The strategy of the west is to mobilize sufficient resources for Ukraine just to
resist not to defeat Russia. I wonder what the author actually wanted to but didn't
say was 'if the west only spend more money than they are willing on aiding Ukraine
Kremlin would be soundly defeated'. This makes sense given the poor state of
Russia's economy--just one single NATO member Italy has a bigger GDP than Russia.

His name appears again on a July 2023 piece demanding a jihadist invasion of Israel and again in the August issue, where he says the West has grown bolder "as they are now back to oppressing and killing Muslims, burning Qur'an, and occupying Muslims' settlements in Palestine."
This won't happen.To the best of my knowledge Israel never sanctioned
burning Qur'an or blasphemous attacks on the prophet Muhammad. They
oppress Palestinians but it is the west and U.S. who are the Great Satan
in the eyes of Islamic fanatics; for they are the ones responsible for creation
of the state of Israel and its survival. In all likelihood future Jihadist invasion
in a similar vein to Charlie Hebdo shooting and Moscow attack will only target
Israel's allies and Russia though Israel will have to cope with attacks from the
Palestinians.
Animosity of Muslims towards Israel is exaggerated IMO. Islam after all is
an Abrahamic religion.

I think there's a very high window in Moscow nice and ready for that lady to fall out of carelessly - as often happens in Russia.
Most ppl think when we talk about Russian influence we mean a few bots and trolls on social media. No. This is HUMAN INTELLIGENCE. Russia recruits humans, pays them to write articles, say certain things, influence politicians, journalists, activists. Russian intel officers and their proxies recruit these people and tell them what to say. In some cases, they literally write articles and some "journalist" put their name on it, but it is written by a Russian intel officer. There is a serious effort by Russia to shift our political debates in Russia's favor. They love to get our own people to repeat their talking points so we think it comes from one of our own, familiar. And it's working. So few people understand the threat.

For less cash than the cost of just one S-400 Missile system ($500m) sprinkled around journalists, politicians and protest groups, they can defeat the west by creating FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) leading to lessening of military assistance to Ukraine.
Think how far $500,000,000.00 can go split up a few hundred thousand here and there every year...
