I'm just waiting to see just how fast people panic when this hot streak ends and the Leafs lose 4 out of 5 or something like that. It makes me laugh when all you can hear is this person should be traded for this other guy and Quinn should be tarred and feathered

I know I age myself but in February 1964 they lost 11-0 to the then doormats of the league- the pre Bobby Orr Bruins
I remember that game. The game started at 8:00, but the TV telecast didn't start until 9:00, about 1/2 way through the 2nd period. Just as Bill Hewitt says "Hello Canada and hockey fans in the United States" the Bruins made it 6-0. I thought I was gonna die of embarrassment. Don Simmons was in net that night replacing Bower. He also played the next night and got a shutout of his own. I think it was 2-0 against the Hawks.

Just call it the pessimist in me but i still have last years playoffs burned in my head with the way they were manhandled by the Flyers in the last game. I want the leafs to win as much as anyone else but are they a much different team than last year's? I don't think so. I can see the samething happening again this year too no matter how well they do in the regular season because of their defense. I just pray to god it isn't the Senators doing it 'cause i'll throw up!!! I actually think that if game 7 had been in T.O. we would have beaten Philly but i don't think they would have gotten much farther.

Hey 'Leen, wasn't that OT a nail biter? Whew, I'm still shaking....all I can say is this is NOT the Sundin from previous years, I mean, at least a point in every game, leading the leafs in game winners, and we don't have Molgilny back yet......

SOme sloppy play tonight but that was to be expected with 2 days off and no skate and TOO much turkey heheheh.

Anyhow, they have kept the streak alive and are still going.....every game they win now, helps them with the next.

GO LEAFS GO!

(and no, NOT "go leaves go" DOH!)

Well, a little poop never hurt anyone, matter of fact, if you were a seagull, it'd be considered GOOD luck hehehhe

Whatever happens you can't beat the leafs for yet again, giving us great entertainment for a freakin totally reasonable price!

I thought tonights game with the rangers was great. I know it was sloppy but it was exciting and i was entertained.

Kathleen - I would be happy if they played anyone right now with the roll they are on. I really hope they are better equipped for the playoffs than last year but the key is remaining healthy. The leafs are an old team and i've noticed that by the end of the season they tend to have a lot of injuries.

P.S. I took a look at your website and wow you are hot! :D

Defenseman Tomas Kaberle (shoulder) and right wing Mikael Renberg (personal) and center Robert Reichel (shoulder) are day-to- day.

Right wing Alexander Mogilny (hip surgery) is expected to be sidelined until at least March.

Well the streak is over but what a run! Now the true test of their mettle is how they react: they could come out like a bear on steriods or mope about and faulter. Being a leaf fan I am hoping they come back in true leaf fashion and kick some butt.....

Yeah, they were kind of draggin their butts a bit.....even last night. I think Neil was saying that last night was a sloppy game but coaches can't complain about the way a game was played when the team wins. I bet Quinn will be working them tomorrow though.

good game but they looked tired and had a slew of regs sided lined and i thought they played well with the line changes and all. Islanders have been hot lately beating both philly and jersey so hats off for making it close.

Leafs were due to loose. So what if they didn't beat the record. Let's enjoy the ride while it lasts guys! I'm proud of what they've done.

7 players on the ice lol
Had me thinking of ole Don Cherry and his inability to count.

I think we have exposed a weakness were Quinn is concerned, he can only count on one hand, so anything above 5 is a challenge for him.

Hats off to leafs for this streak.... Hmm now that it is over, maybe they will learn that hard work and practice can keep them on top... Don't get me wrong I am a true blue fan, however, they did have a stroke of luck, even with all the injuries etc... and nothing lasts forever.

Now that being said... lets bring on the next 16 straight and hopefully closer to the playoffs as well ... ;) <grin>

Yeah, watch fairweather Leaf fans jump ship and bail when their team returns to their losing ways.
