The Girlfriend Question

Curious, but how often do SPs ask clients if they have a gf?

More than half of the SPs I've seen have asked me this question and it bothers me since it reminds me that I still can't get a girlfriend. What's worse is when they follow up with "why not?" I always say that I'm too busy, but really, every girl I've asked out would rather just be friends, which then gets me wondering what's wrong with me. It's funny how 1 or 2 questions can totally change your mood.

Why does it bother you? If it makes you any happier Toronto is considered a dead city by people in pickup circles. I've noticed a huge difference when I go to Montreal. But its no surprise Toronto has a bloated escort industry and this is where the pua thing started.

Do don't beat yourself over it. If things aren't working out here, try another city.

They don't really care if you have a GF. They are simply making conversation to fill the void between SOG's.

Lighten the moment. Ask her if she is interested/volunteering.

For the most part, yes. some guys read to much into these things.

I respond with: 'I had a girlfriend, she became my wife, and thats why I am here now'
I've used a same. A good comeback.

Remember, the whole nature of this exchange is supposed to be fun if not anonymous. We all get asked 'personal' questions; you don't need to answer truthfully or spill your life story.

I sometimes ask that if I am trying to figure out when it is safe to contact a client, or if I should be leaving the contact up to him. I do have a couple of clients who I know are single and I will text them once in a while to inform them of location changes, see how they are doing, etc.

Remind me never to book a session with Jacklyn. Girlfriend, wife or neither, an SP should not contact a client. This is one reason why I stopped seeing Asian incall girls. Twice I have had phone calls wondering when I was going to book again.

So close and yet so far.

I've seen Jacklyn and she's never contacted me inappropriately. She knows I have a wife and it could be awkward.

My point was that I do NOT contact unless I know it is okay. Asking about your status is just one way of leading into asking when/if it is okay to contact. I am VERY against the idea of ladies who just send out random announcements with little thought to who may see them. There are some men who do enjoy hearing from their favorite ladies, asking is okay and should be encouraged as opposed to just going ahead and messaging randomly.

Okay, that clears that up. My initial interpretation of your comment was that if a guy was single then you'd assume contacting him was okay. I have had text messages from an SP but we are on a friendly level. By the time we get onto a comfort level like this she already knows what is acceptable. I'm glad to see that you are not one of those girls that telemarket yourself with previous clients just because you have their contact info.

I don't ask if guys are single or married cause one time I asked a guy if he was married and then his guilt set in and he couldn't go through with it. So now I let the guy tell me if he wants too ……he's there for the fantasy not personal questions.I also don't like when guys try and ask me too many personal questions. Guys keep the conversation light and casual.

+1.Unless they specifically ask "can I randomly text you",then don't.
The SP that texts me does have my permission to send messages. Most of our messages are simply friendly greetings and not discussing sessions. She honestly cares about my well being and I return the sentiment.

But to all others texting to drum up business is a definite no-no. Thankfully for all of us, this is done very rarely.

I agree. I think a polite and direct inquiry would be better received than dancing around it. And believe me, if the answer ever changes from a yes to a no, you'd be the first to know.
It can also be a mood killer for the guy. They want to forget about life for an hour. If he doesn't volunteer this info, then don't ask about it. Talk about the Blue Jays, RoFo, DoFo, any other news, movies, nightclubs, anything else.
