I dunno…I took it more broadly to mean that there is no clearly defined stance articulated in Biblical scripture around abortion and that those who claim otherwise are imposing their own meaning for their own purposes.

It's only partially relevant, though.
The idea that whether or something is "literally" in the bible matters is a fairly modern way of trying to analyze scripture.
It really gains popularity in the 1800s when it becomes useful to justify slavery.

So sure, this is kind of an interesting line to take when talking to white evangelists... but even engaging on the clobber text front isn't very useful because it is such a dumb way to read holy scripture anyway.
