A few of my favourite shows are missing from their list. I would definitely bump some to make room for these:
- The Knick
- Mr. Robot
- Banshee
- Sherlock (does that count?)
- Homicide:Life on the Street
- Trailer Park Boys (not realistic but still)
- How could SCTV not be on that list?
- Kids In the Hall (maybe?)

The WKRP suggestion from above was a funny one - I forgot about that show. It has disappeared because the music rights are too expensive to release it (I think). Someone else suggested a Bourdain show and that seems right - it seemed to have a lot of impact on a lot of people and was quite revered. Carol Burnett was another suggestion but it would be tough for it to make the list. I never watched Miami Vice but I'm surprised it wasn't on the list. That was a huge show, hell, even the soundtrack was a big seller.

Surprised Veep was on there but Silicon Valley wasn't. Eastbound & Down and Beavis & Butthead were good selections though.
WKRP has been released on dvd with most of the original music. The few artists who couldn't come to an agreement had their music replaced, but it's not overly noticeable. The show definitely deserves to be on this list.

The Office US! I don't think I'll ever get sick of rewatching it.

The Carol Burnett show.

It was before my time but I've watched a lot on Youtube. Thinking about buying the DVD collection.

Probably my favourite variety show of all time, watched it religiously back in the day. The cast was funny and had such great chemistry. During the really funny skits, it was hard for them to keep a straight face.

Big Bang Theory (in the early seasons)
.
Seasons 1-3 (maybe 4 as well) easily one of my fav shows all time. I couldn't believe how fast the show went to shit.

What amazes me more, is how many people unlike me and you stayed loyal to the show. They all got there big contracts after the good seasons, and the ratings stayed high. I don't know man...the dynamic of the show completely changed a long with the characters. I don't get how anyone who thought the show was funny in the early seasons, could still the show in the later seasons.
