lot of great shows that remind me of great tv. Not to be a contrarian..but here is one negative opinion you won't like.......All in the Family was over rated...indicated by big canned laugh for Archie flushing the toilet........show was way too over the top....not that I didn't watch or have a few chuckles....actually I don't think I liked any of the Norman Lear shows...any one agree with me?

Certainly not for everyone, but All in the Family was indisputably ahead of its time in its treatment of politics, race, sex, etc etc. and a bona fide influence on most every similarly-themed show that has since followed. Its list of spin-offs alone is impressive.

GOT, the earlier Simpsons, Seinfeld, Married with Children, Frasier, the Wire, Sopranos, Breaking Bad, TWD, Arrested Development. So many shows out there, past and present, that are really good.

One of my ALL TIME FAVOURITE TV shows are Handmaids Tale.
I know it was a book before the actual TV show but it’s such a good show.
I just love everything about it. The main actress is especially, Elizabeth Moss is superb.
If you haven’t seen the handmaids tale - you really need to check it out!
I just watch it on my android box and don’t think it’s on Netflix.
Check it out guys and girls!! Enjoy :)
I've tried but I cannot get into this. I will still watch it slowly but I don't see the appeal and why everyone's so abuzz about it. I wonder if it's getting more hype than it should because of the subject matter and predominantly female cast.

I haven't watched The Handmaid's Tail yet, it's a local production made by Take5. The company also made Vikings, Penny Dreadful, The Borgias and The Tudors...sometimes a government grant does work.

I checked out the cast to see if Elizabeth McGovern was involved, eventually they'll have to bring her in. She played Moira (Elisabeth Moss) in the 1990 film. Unfortunately the other main actress of the film won't get a cameo, Natasha Richardson died skiing in Quebec.
