That, plus they never would have driven home the winning run

WITHOUT MORE HOMERS we are doomed

Right now we are getting more runners on base than other teams, and that will not last so
we need more homers to get runners in esp when our pitchers get injured, as pitchers do ,
because we have no pitching depth

Vlad and Sandman need 80 homers, so far they have one, so enjoy first place
while it lasts unless they start hitting homers

In the last 40 games Vlad has hit 2 homers. That translates to eight in one year

Superstar homerun hitters do not have that serious of a homerun slump

Between Vlad and Sandman our 2 homerun stars have 2 homers
and as a team we are last in homers

We are being saved by our starting pitchers

This is frightening to think about.

I think they’ve been playing great considering the top of the order have been all below career averages.

The bottom of the order and the pitching have been great. And this is a hard part of the schedule. They’re playing good teams.

And both of those homers were in the same game. This stat is crazy. I went back and looked at his game log from 2024 here are his HR hit by month

Mar/Apr: 3 (31 games)
May: 2 (25)
Jun: 8 (28)
Jul: 8 (25)
Aug: 6 (27)
Sept: 3 (23)

He did experience a 21 game homerless drought from April 12 to May 4.

Blue Jays coaches should have challenged instead of lecturing Vladimir Guerrero Jr., a breakdown

He didn't leave early...My God

First base coach Mark Budzinski is completely at fault for this.

Note that Vlad is watching the fielder, to know when the catch is made. Budzinski appears to be looking at Vlad's foot.

Vlad should be 'in the starting blocks', eyes focused on second base. The coach should be looking at the fielder. He's supposed to yell "Go! Go! Go!!!" as soon as the baseball touches the glove. When it's caught doesn't matter*. If the runner obeys the coach's verbal command, he will never leave early. As is, Budzinski can't help with the challenge, because he's relying on his ears to know when the catch is made. Besides ambient noise from the city and spectators, there's the time lag based on the slow speed of sound as compared to light. Anyone who has seen a concert with video screens in a stadium is familiar with that.

*This rule prevents a fielder from 'half-catching' a fly ball, then juggling it forward to shorten the throwing distance.
