I'm obviously disappointed with the outcome especially since the Jays were so close to winning the game and series. I don't think you can levy the blame on any one player or coach. Collectively they could not drive in runs when it mattered. 3 for 17 with runners in scoring position just doesn't cut it.
My biggest takeaway from these playoffs is that Vlad finally asserted himself as the de facto leader of this team. It seems to me like he matured 5 years as a baseball player in one playoff season. It was truly fantastic to witness. I have renewed optimism in this team's prospects moving forward. I would really love it if they could re-sign Bieber. And hopefully Santander can get himself sorted out

If IKF were another inch taller, sliding into home plate, he would've scored the game-winner.
Forgot who said it last night but the lead off of 3rd base wasn't that big and it may have actually got us the win. So many little things, but the Dodgers definitely had Lady Luck on their side.

Because of Barger in game 6, they were being cautious on the bases. That's baseball, tough luck for the Jays.

for sure ...lodged ball in g6 (albeit I'm not sure that would have changed anything as Barger would still have a double) and that catch by pages despite the collision..once i saw that catch, knew it was their night ...baseball gods were with them

I was starting to like varsho and lukes until they turned back into scrubs. It may have cost lukes a contract, a career minor leaguer who may have gotten a 2 year deal. He's made around 1.3 million in his career, most because of his one year deal with the jays, which isn't much for a 31 year old.

See if the jays or another team offer him a contract at his age without much big league success really.

He should not have slid, should have run through and would have been safe to win WS.
Terrible ending to ikfs jays career. Hazel interviewed him one time as player of the game during regular season and he gushed about toronto. Now he's receiving threats by some idiots.

Ty France wins AL Gold Glove for 1st baseman, beating out Vladdy.
I know that's surprising. This guy holds the bat like he can actually hit lol he looks about 10 times better than he actually is.

Or taken a better lead off of third base in the first place. Barger also should've been running to break up the double play.

The one thing that gets me more than anything is that catch on Ernie Clement for the winning run. 9 times out of 10 that collision between the outfielders and the ball is dropped. We were two outs away from the World Series victory. We were four strikes away when Hoffman gave up the home run. It' really stings. The worst part is that feeling of knowing Hoffman was going to give up something eventually….. it was only a matter of time until he blew a save. He doesn't have closer stuff. Every outing is a nail biter. Granted, Hoffman started mixing his pitches well, and the sequence was tricking people… But he doesn't have closer stuff so it was only a matter of time until somebody sat on something with his new found sequencing and then unfortunately for the Blue Jays, it was the number nine hitter with two outs to go. Rojas was sitting on full count slider and he got it. Unfortunately, when Hoffman leaves his slider up, it has little to no break. Yeah they say we should've had a bigger lead and that's true and all these other things for sure and yeah we had our opportunities and we didn't come through, But the Dodgers played way below expectations and they don't deserve this one. The Jays were the better team.
