I stand corrected...I get them confused sometimes. That was Caleb Joseph, not Siddall, but Joseph got very emotional and passionate there.
Dropped the S-Bomb and just started going, for a second I thought he might tear up.

No doubt. Been following baseball since, well, the Dodgers were still on their last legs in Brooklyn. Toddler me, a nascent 1960s contrarian, knew enough to choose them as my team as my parents were NY Giants fans. Dropped the Dodgers for the Mets by 1968, after most of the Brooklyn remnants retired or were traded. So have seen a lot of WS. Of course, 1960, 1962 (McCovey's 7th game-ending screamer to a leaping Richardson), 1964 (bye-bye effin' Yankees), 1965 (Dodgers comeback from two-game hole), 1967, 1968, 1969, 1973, 1975 (Fisk vs. Big Reds), and so on and so on, were all fantastic. This one was right up there if not near the top. No other series I can recall showcased athleticism on both sides of the ball quite like this one. If the Jays' mission was to reinvent baseball, well then they and their co-conspirators the Dodgers did just that.7 games, two going to extra innings, is there really a better team? I will wait the overall stats as they come out but all I saw was awesome playoff baseball with all the tension, drama, little guy heroics, big guy fails, games, a few weird calls, one of a kind plays and pure raw emotions.
One of the better series in history......but most are....
Yeah the Vladdy walk was wild. So many little things that could have been actual game changers when you look at it.What's the deal with Vladdy assuming a walk, heading towards first base, and the guy (was it Springer both times?) on first base taking Vladdy's cue, walking towards second, and getting tagged out off base. Happened twice in the series on called strikes, even though the first time the strike call was a bit late.
Otherwise the Dodgers earned the win, imho. I was actually a little surprised at Ohtani's lack of performance in the later games in the series. Yamamoto was a killer! And the relief pitcher Sasaki was no slouch either.
I'm super proud of the Jays playing as hard as they did, especially those who played hurt, yet gave it their all.
Maybe next year???
I think you're right. The role of the base coach is to communicate with the runners...there was some serious miscommunication out there that needs to be addressed in the off season!!
3b coach looked like he was doing the chicken dance at 1 pointI think you're right.
I forgot which play it was near the end, but the 3rd base coach looked like he was celebrating and communicating, but the celebrating really took over. lol
I think another player on the field was directing what to do, kinda wild.
lmao, yeah that's the one I remember, he definitely got lost in the moment.3b coach looked like he was doing the chicken dance at 1 point
None of the Dodgers were hitting the whole series the way they should've been. I don't believe the best team won. Going into the series I thought the Dodgers would be a lot tougher, especially with the bats.Caleb Joseph saying what I'm thinking...I'm not sure the best team won here tonight.
I think Scherzer's too old. And - this is the sad part - the 2025 team had some very special intangible chemistry. Not sure we get that back next year.None of the Dodgers were hitting the whole series the way they should've been. I don't believe the best team won. I feel so bad for him because he had some great outings this post season, but it looks like the worst fear came true. Jeff Hoffman blows a save in the ninth. and he could not have picked a worse time to do it.
I hope they re-sign they re-sign Bo Bichette, Max Scherzer and Chris Bassitt. I hope they keep this group together as best as they can… I feel like this same group can do one more run like this. Maybe just add a real closer.
lots to feel good about for next year. Addison Barger and a healthy Santander could be pretty damn good.
Philip
He will be 42 next year. But he still throws 96 miles an hour and he's a great mentor to have around.I think Scherzer's too old. And - this is the sad part - the 2025 team had some very special intangible chemistry. Not sure we get that back next year.![]()
They should also sign Yesavage for a long contract.I hope they re-sign they re-sign Bo Bichette, Max Scherzer and Chris Bassitt.
If they don't, the Dodgers will pounce on him. They should also sign Yesavage for a long contract.
I think he only has this 1 year contract.
