In my view, keep Donaldson ONLY if management believes they have a fair and/or legitimate chance in 2018.

Otherwise, cash him while he still has tremendous value.

The Parrot driven in by Jay Bruce's big fly. Indians up 3-0. Wanting Eddie to get that WS ring!

Astros lit-up Sale pretty good today. Altuve with 3 homers! I don't know if the Astros offense can be stopped. Too many weapons in their lineup

"The Blue Jays are already said to have a good farm system, so a deal here only adds to it." The TO media seems to have missed that memo.

As much as I like Donaldson, it probably is the "correct" move for the Blue Jays franchise.
The Jays have a few holes to plug and some aging players who are questionable. If they can pick up some key pieces by trading Donaldson, I say go for it.

Aside from his (Donaldson's) skills as a player, the team does lose a club-house leader and motivator.

With Sanchez, Osuna and Stroman locked up for the next few years, I say build a younger and stronger team.

Personally, I really like Donaldson as a Blue Jay, but if the deal makes sense it has to be made. If they trade him I hope it is to a National league team, would hate to see a trade to an American league team come back and bite the Jays

The only risk you take with trading JD is you might get flops in return. Thats why its important they get at least one proven MLB starting pitcher who's under the age of thirty along with some minor L. prospects as well

Bummer for EE. It was looking like he ended up totally making the right move. Same money but gets to play for a World Series contender. Hopefully he'll be back this season.

That looked nasty.

Quite the comeback win for Cleveland.

EE will still get his WS ring if/when Cleveland goes all the way

As well as trading JD, Estrada has trade value with his finish as well as Happ. Martin has value as quality catchers are hard to find , even though he does not hit a ton he gets a lot a walks.

Tulo you can trade if we eat his contract.

Next year is a quality FA year so we could be a threat to make playoffs after next year.

This is just amazing to watch. Chapman threw almost every pitch above 100mph, and topped out at 104mph last night

Bosox cannot buy a break today. Double and a single after their 2 base runners were erased on a DP. Runner thrown out at the plate. Big fly pulled just foul. Load the bases and strike out to end the inning. Farrell tossed.

The Bambino must be in a shitty mood today!

Red Sox don't accept losing - fire Farrell. Blue Jays extend contract of their manager and coaching staff - not winning is ok
