Us wanting to be able to have a way to identify clients to deter clients from harming us. The methods aren't guaranteed to work, but they it definitely helps deter abusive clients from booking by requiring real either real phone numbers, deposits, references, IDs etc

Not everyone in this industry has the luxury of being able to screen clients or ask for deposits.

What sucks is that you do have individuals who will scam guys by taking E-transfers with no intent of providing any service, which then messes things up for legit providers such as yourself.

As someone who worked their way up from 40 blow n go's to make rent to where I am today, I'm well aware of the spectrum of screening. I was just answering the question, what I said by no means implied that everyone is able to use these safety methods.

No one can tell what you're using, just that you're using one. So if someone doesn't accept text apps, it doesn't matter which you use.

This kind of data for Canadian phone numbers is only allowed to be used to facilitate porting numbers between carriers. For example, you have a phone number on a VOIP service and you want to port it to a real mobile carrier like Rogers Wireless. At some point in time in the past, this data was stolen and is now used by a bunch of reverse look-up services. Textapps show up as VOIP service carriers in the data.

The problem here is that the data is old and often outdated. The quality of the reverse look-up services varies. Getting new up-to-date/accurate Canadian data for these services is difficult and still definitely against the rules of the agency that guards it.

So you occasionally get the stories of hobbyists using a real number but the indy provider or agency/spa booker on the other side stands by their claim that the number is a textapp/voip service and refuses to let them book.

I would never ask for a clients ID or any of their socials. Just like I would never want them to ask me for anything that I haven't shared on my ( e.g.. face pics , social media, etc.) The thing about scammers is you can be scammed in person or through text if some girls ask for deposits upfront. The only way you can avoid it is if you search well known providers. However, even that isn't fool proof.

That is a secret only shared amongst providers.

If we told clients how we operate than they would try to use the same thing against us.

That's like KFC giving away their fried chicken recipe.

It's every sp's prerogrative to use the screening methods they want. I just think it really sucks for us oldy clients who have been in this hobby for a number of years. We still remember a time when there was a lot more anonymity and discretion from the client side of things. Now it seems like we have to give sp's our entire life story before we book with them I just wish there was a better way for us all to feel safe but also keep the anonymity aspect of this hobby which is crucial for us clients.

This is exactly why girls avoid text apps. I feel extremely sorry for that girl. She did not deserve it and even though she was uncomfortable from the get go she was still professional and gave him service. I have spoken to many ladies in this industry and have learned that when it comes to text apps we all come to one conclusion : DO NOT BOOK THEM .

This is one of the reasons. Another reason is no shows. I had something similar to this young lady happen to me a couple times. It can be very traumatizing and can have long term affects.

I think men like this DESERVE to have their phone number posted on SP platforms that way it doesn't happen to another female. No woman deserves to be hit in the face especially if she was nice & provided the service.

I would have left it at the first 6 words. No woman deserves to be hit, anywhere, regardless of if she was nice or not or provided service or not, the only exception is self defense, and self defense requires that the other person use the minimum force necessary to STOP an attack.

Im not really sure how my post has anything to do with girls posting no black guys.

Yes this situation was awful but as long as many SP’s and.reputable agencies permit booking through text apps sans screening, text apps will continue to be used.

Established independent SP’s have luxury of anal screening but the newer ladies need to take more risks building their client base otherwise their business will suffer. Yes it is easy to say text apps shouldn’t be used but that’s the opinion of established and much older SP’s that have a solid client base and reputation.
