All this talk about "test driving" got me thinking.(NO really don't stop me now, I may be on to something!) What is a test drive without a driver? (Are you scared yet??) Well let's explore that, shall we?
You may have the finest automobile on the market, with all the bells and whistles, but if you don't know where the key goes to turn it on, you might as well get a bus pass, because you'd be wasting your money at the dealership!! Before you even get into this luxury automobile, you should start your checklist. How do I look? You wouldn't want to be seen in this sweet ride all disheveled and grubby, would you? This may only be a test drive, but let's look the part. Smell and cleanliness are next, you don't want to get the seats all dirty, or god forbid, ruin that new car smell!! So, you're clean, your racing stripes are on, it's time to get in!
It's ok if you're nervous, the hard part is over (mostly!) now you just have to pay attention to the road. As with any luxury vehicle, they almost drive themselves, unless you get an asshole behind the wheel, who revs the engine too hard too fast, slams on the breaks, and doesn't routinely check fluid levels,or reads posted signs!
Thankfully these drivers are few and far between! The experienced "driver" listens for the gentle purrs of the engine, to find out when to speed up or slow down. The experienced "driver can handle any curve in the road with confidence and style, because they have learned that the road to a pleasurable test drive is riddled with signs, if you just pay attention and let journey begin.
Doesn't that sound easy? Not all models are built the same way of course, some for comfort, some for speed and some offer both. However all models can be great with the right driver.
