Not entirely true. Tesla takes nearly 20% of their parts from Mexico. Many more from China. Canada, too, but in the Tesla description details, they put the USA/Canada together, so it's not possible to know what % is Canadian parts.

Just take aluminum. Because of Quebec's very low price of electricity, Quebec has 9 aluminum plants providing a vast majority of aluminum in America and especially the car production of every maker.
