Actually it will work salary cap wise.........If T.O is really unhappey like he says he is i think it will happen.

It works out great for the Eagles.........Jerry Porter is great.

Kerry Collins will be throwing the ball.......Rich Ganon Passed his Physical and is Ok to play but he will retire any day now.

I don't think this trade will actually happen for 2 reasons. First reason, it wouldn't work for Oakland salary cap wise. Second there is no way these 2 guys with their huge selfish me 1st egos could exist on the same team. Would be great in a fantasy league to have them both on your team, but not in real life.
I agree with every word you're saying..........but just imagine. If Moss and T.O. could coexist what a potent one-two punch.

Stranger things have happened..............................we are talking about Al Davis here................

Too bad they are not that strong at QB

I agree that it is very unlikely that this will happen due to contracts, egos, etc, but if you are a Raiders Fan......Dare to Dream.

How do you figure? http://www.theredzone.org/caproom.asp

Oakland has the least salary cap room of any team in the NFL. I believe the difference in the 2 contracts is much much greater then the $137,000 of cap room that Oakland has.
How much do Gannon and Collins make? Maybe they release one of them to free up money and place their hopes on one and have a kid at back up?

Are TO and Moss good enough to make great plays out of mediocre passes? Any forseeable other trades by the raiders to make room??

Those are old numbers............I am not saying this deal will get done, but at the same time its not that far fetched.

Dont forget the are giving up Porter so there is some salary right there. Not to mention Rich Ganon is retiring in the next few weeks so there is some more.

Also there is talk about sending over Woodson with the deal which would free up ALOT of money.

I guess we wait and see, its just really not a good deal for the raiders, i mean the are trading a good WR (porter) for another, and if they do the deal then they would have to throw every down.

But he didnt make that much thats why he wants out!!!!!!!!!!

you provided the link he gets a base salary of 660k and a bonus the bulk of th e contract gets paid out at the end of the contract in seven years those other bonuses of 9 million plus dont get paid out to the late part of the contract.

Owens if you look at that site was getting paid more in San Fran then he is in philly.

Actually...

Collins is a mediocre QB, but he DOES throw a great deep ball.

If these two end up on the same team some damage will be done. You can't double both of them....

I personally think Moss is overrated, but he IS one of just a couple handful of TRUE impact players...a player whose unique talents mean you have account for him on EVERY PLAY...1 - 10, 2 - 5, 3 - 3, even 4 - 1. You can't leave Moss unaccounted for, even though he doesn't always deliver. He is just too dangerous.

T.O. on the otherhand ALWAYS delivers in spades. His mouth is too big, he is a TOTAL ASS...and I think he is a cancer...I wouldn't want him on MY team...but the mutherfuka D-E-L-I-V-E-R-S. Best WR in the league...argueably on the field the best player in the league.

If Oakland could actually pull it off...especially Oakland, where the team culture and the number of vetern players might just make it the one place where you could have both these jerks wearing the same uniform...they gotta go for it.

Really...wow...if you are a defensive coordinator...unless you have an UNREAL pas rush I have no idea what you do...

The real cherry on top would then be Jeremy Shockey...LOL

Propaganda BS perpetuated by TO's agent is all this is. TO and his "redo my contract" whining has not landed him in the news in the last 3-4 weeks so now they are tossing BS like this out there to keep him in the news.

Oakland would not be able to land him and be under the cap. Alot of the salary cap issues going on now would only be moderately relieved by releasing players. They are already into this year for bonuses and such and even if they release them they still have to eat A TON of cash against this years cap. The whole Sal cap shit is so convoluted they have to have lawyers and accountants work like made to figure out every damn move they make.

Bottom line is that its a great fantasy to have Moss and Owens on the same team, but the only time it will ever happen is on some seriously fucked up fantasy team ( who probably would need to get Kerry Collins or Drew Bledsoe as a QB )

T.O. will stay in Philly. He needs the Eagles and the Eagles need him.
The AFC is to competitive where as the NFC, the Eagles right now are
clearly "head and shoulders" above everyone else. The Raiders are nowhere
near the Team they had a few years ago, So that trade does,nt make
sense. They (Raiders) made their "splash" with Randy Moss. The Raiders need
to concentrate in other areas. Owens will be a "baby" about his
contract ( which he should Honor after all; did he not dictate where
he wanted to play?) gimme a break. This guy defines what is wrong with
today,s arrogant pro-athlete!! Get into camp later this month T.O. and
quit cyring..

...but semi seriously...could you IMAGINE the damage a legit tight end with good speed adn hands could do underneath and across the middle if he had Moss and TO as teamates? He's covered by a LB in single coverage on EVERY play...single coverage with nobody playing "safety" in the middle of the field because the outside guys are getting doubled 10 to 15 yards up field...

Again, you only hope as a defensive coordiantor is to get to the quarterback inside of 3.5 seconds on EVERY passing play...

Plus just think how happy those three guys would keep the beat writers with the daily quotes....

Not A Raider Fan.. But

I would love to see T.O and Randy Moss on the Raiders... this would be either awesome or a real side show.. I would bet that it would be a great sideshow to see who could whine more and what T.O. would say about Moss.

I was a fan of T.O. until the last few years.. I thought he was the best talent in the league at the WR position... but his attacks on Jeff Garcia and McNabb (two classy individuals) were very low...

Saying that Garcia was gay was just weird... perhaps T.O. is battling his own coming out of the closet demons..

Even if T.O goes to the Raiders it's not going to make a lick of difference. Oakland has NO offensive line. Both Collins or Gannon won't have anytime to throw to them. Oakland needs help in too many areas to be a contender anytime soon.
