I have known many philipina ladies and NONE would ever consider eating a dog. Its not their culture. Some small remote parts of China yes. But we arent talking major urban centers. I have teased a few about it......as it is a racial stereotype....and the looks I got and/or words of revulsion. And before some overly political correct individual chastises me, foreigners are WAY more racist than a home grown canadian. You can joke with a philipina without offending.....unless you put down her family.
I seriously doubt the dachhound story......

Look, the bottom line is, if you eat meat, which I do, how can you criticize another for eating meat as well, whether it be from a goat, pig, rat, snake, dog, fish, whatever.

From 1939 to 1950, cats were nearly went extinct in Italy. Never ate any during my childhood but I was raised with a great deal of offal.

This is news to me, its not something I have ever heard until today. I dont know of any italians that have ever tried cat. Im certain you wouldn't find cat on the menu in a restaurant even in italy. If anyone tried to slaughter my cat I would torture them for several weeks.

If you check my previous post, I never said Fillipinos are barbaric. Western societies far exceed Asiatic ones in that regard. Fillipinos never held Carneficas where political prisoners were hung, drawn and quartered. Fillipinos are devoutly Catholic, they are one of the few countries that reenact Christ's Passion on Good Friday.

They were probably having difficultly finding money for groceries. The fences I was building were at the townhouses of John Garland and Finch - not exactly an affluent area. Apart from the short leash the dog appeared well fed and had shelter from the cold. There was no fecal matter in his roaming area. The dog disappeared after the Easter Long Weekend - what am I supposed to conclude from that?

The problem with your whole fucking post is, you "claimed to see it with your own eyes", but in reality, you didn't see shit. All you saw was a family had a dog, then they didn't which could have hundreds of different reasons.

The reason why there are so many white guys with them is because of language.

White guys adore Asian women, but the Philippines is the only Asian country that

1) English language is taught in school from a young age.
2) predominantly Christian religious upbringing, as well as the general love of all things "American"

I've been to the Philippines several times.

I've never even heard of anyone eating a dog. I have seen dogs kept on short leashes, but that was to discourage robbers (apparently)

I also think the majority of the food is terrible but, a few of their dishes are pretty good. Adobo for example.

The English thing...that is true to an extent. It is nice to be able to communicate, but you're kidding yourself if you think it's above basic level understanding among the majority of the people there.

Yes some are very strong, but as you go down the employment ladder, the English gets worse and worse.

For example, a waitress or call center agent will speak English well, but the girl working at Mercury Drug will give you a blank stare if you speak too fast, or pronounce a word different than they learned it. A good number of taxi drivers can't, or won't speak English at all.

Of course I don't go to a foreign country and expect everyone to speak English perfectly. I can't speak much Tagalog either, in fairness, but I think it's largely a myth. Shyness is a big factor there as well.

Why I think white guys like them:

They're sweet, they're feminine and they're very family oriented. Or, the complete opposite of every woman you ever dated from Canada before.

When I get married, it will be to a filipina. No question.
