Tailors in Thailand?

Hi all.

I have been on this site for a few months and have never posted. I was really planning to, but finances are limited and I haven't seen anyone since I signed up.

Anyway, the questions is not Ottawa/MP/SP related, but I figured this would be the best place to ask. I have heard that in Thailand they have these big 'tailor factories' where they can custom make suits and shirts and so on for pretty cheap. Has anyone heard of, or have the email address or website for a place like that that they have used (I know I can do an internet search but that wouldn't tell me if they're for real). Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the reply JJ. I actually was thinking of ordering from here. I do plan to go to Thailand sometime next year... it's just that I had kind of a specific thing in mind and I'm not sure I can find someone to do it here for a reasonable price.. and I remembered a friend's boyfriend who had told me about such things. Too bad they broke up or I could have asked him

I've traveled to Thailand twice in the past few years. All kinds of tailors that will do "made to measure" clothing. Last trip I brought back a dozen Chinese silk shirts which cost me $100 Cdn. As Jasmine has said, you can't go to the factories, you go to individual tailors. I can recommend a superb tailor in Pattaya if you go!!
