Yeah that also sounds good but in practice, it's a disaster.
Long after the warm/fuzzy feeling our Feds generate by saying they accept refugees fades, reality sets in. No plan and they don't care.
Mission accomplished as far as they're concerned.

Hey cities...go figure out and stop complaining.
On the contrary, the vast majority settle in quickly, learn English and get productive jobs.

You speak about point systems and other superficialities. You champion being blind to ethnicity (because you're a naïve wholesome Canadian) when that is actually a recipe for disaster.

The demonstrations going on right now in Toronto are examples of imported culture, values, history, and genetic ties to foreign lands. If Palestinians and Jews comprised the majority populations in Toronto, you'd have war right here in Toronto just like you do in Gaza today.

Critical mass matters.

Your little points system would be irrelevant.

For reference purposes only: Brampton is becoming India, Markham is becoming China. Vancouver has already become China.
Boy, you really hate non whites, don't you?

If immigrant groups really wanted to kill each other in Canada, there would be little or nothing to stop them. Serbs would kill Croats. Ukrainians would kill Russians. Pakistanis would kill Indians. And so on.

But they don't do it. Why's that?.... The point system weeds out those who refuse to assimilate. And they perceive Canada as being a Promised Land and don't want to fuck that up.

If you want to be racist, go find me some real world examples of evil immigrants. Not imaginary examples.

If the vast majority do then we wouldn't have people sleeping in front of immigration offices downtown.

Sure, renounce Canadian citizenship, and then move to a war torn nation, and then come back and claim asylum. But make sure you don't have your rose tinted glasses on, because the social assistance they give you is peanuts. So just be mentally prepared. 😂
I'm thinking a good experiment would be to get a homeless person to renounce their citizenship and then apply and see if they are better off afterwards.

It has little to do with any point system, and everything to do with people who understand that Canada offers a high standard of living for them, their families, and their immigrant cohort.

Even the most ardent hater doesn't want to rock the boat for those reasons.

No, I don't hate anyone. Leave the labels out of this please.

Okay so there you have your answer. Canada systemically prevents people from engaging in breaking the law. Why the cause for concern then?
That's like saying the USA systematically prevents people in Beverly Hills and Compton from engaging in breaking the law. So why the cause for concern?

We both know you wouldn't feel comfortable walking in one of those neighborhoods at night despite the laws in place.

Why? Culture.

Culture impacts not only the enforcement of laws but the willingness of individuals to follow those laws.

Anyway, Canada isn't immune from ethnic conflict because of some point system. In fact, ethnic conflict is a guaranteed reality and will become to be a topic to contend with in the years to come.

You already said that people follow the law because of what Canada offers and that automatically means their ethnic conflicts don't translate to violence here, which means people are not just willing to follow the law, but see no value in breaking it. This is observable and demonstrable. So culture does not seem to matter as much as you think it does. Rather law and order, quality of life etc do, which is in keeping with general findings that poverty causes crime.

As for people who come from places of ethnic conflict, it would be ignorant to say that each individual has anything to do with said conflicts. The majority of people in such areas tend to be individuals just living life amidst the chaos, so they are not a threat anyway.

So again, where is the cause for concern?
The concern is when people come in from other countries and support killing Canadians based on grudges and accusations from their old country.

Check your geography, Sweden doesn't have a refugee problem, Italy does. Apart from that Sweden is all in on the new transportation corridor connecting Stockholm to Malta. The biggest obstacle is the new Brenner Pass tunnel from Innsbruck to Fortezza, a massive engineering project.

Major problems for the asylum seekers yes. That is why I said the city needs to do more for them. But they are not causing the problem, the city is not providing them the help they need. Don't blame the asylees. Blame the city.
The cities are over subscribed and had no choice. I'm not blaming the asylum seekers. I'm blaming the Feds. They had no plan. They did not ensure that cities were prepared and funded properly ahead of time. They just wanted to grab headlines about taking in refugees. After that, they failed.

C'mon. "Doesn't want to rock the boat"????....

If immigrants weren't screened on the points system and by heavy criminal and CSIS screening, there'd be a minority who couldn't help themselves causing shit. The Canadian system works.

lol GTFO... there are all kinds big league criminals and war criminals from other countries comfortably residing inside our borders.

You put too much faith in points systems and screenings, as though loopholes don't exist all over the place.

But if that allows you to sleep at night, you do you.

As for the "minority who couldn't help themselves causing shit" go visit a jail in Toronto and have a good look at the demographic of some inmates.

The other options? Allow no immigrants? Spend the money to do in depth digs, sending intelligence assets undercover?

I think you are either alone on that one or are projecting considering your hatred of Jews that seems to be well documented.
I don't have any hatred towards the Jewish people, only to racists that back racist nationalist movements and who should be held to international law.
There are lots of good Jews, like those of IJVCanada, IfNotNow, Breaking the Silence, JStreet and others.

They are not immigrants. They are asylum applicants and a minority of them. The city needs to do more for them.
“Fine”.
Not sure if you live in the 416. Assuming you do. Why haven’t you given more in taxes. It’s already costing a little less than 200 million a year

I sometimes have to chuckle at this topic and related ones. Those that want stuff and do have the ability to implement their own small steps, to help the solution to the problems they cause.

Don’t. Nor do they want to.

At the same time, the residents of the 416 and 905 that benefit immensely from the same things that draw immigrants, asylum seekers and Canadian citizens, Companies, Gangs to it, like no other…………. Don’t seem to grasp that they made their own beds…

For example those that are lucky enough to own homes lick their lips at how rich they are and can’t wait to sell their million dollar sheds. But bellyache about A) grid lock, B ) lack of housing C ) immigrants/asylum, D ) Gangs E) Homeless people and junkies F ) land taxes going up a penny, and more.

And have we not spent a few pages showing that the police budgets, like wages have been stagnant too. Despite violent crime…And Overdoes…and human trafficking sky rocketing. Sadly many don’t even seem to be aware or are oblivious of just how bad THAT has become.

Little differently than they were or are oblivious to hydro rates, wind farms, and or central Ontario losing jobs by the 1,000s back in the day.

And have we not spent pages showing that despite healthcare spending going up…There arent enough RNs, and there are more code blacks, or PSWs, or GPs ( only 800,000 tax paying Ontarians with out one since around 2012)

Etc and so on. You want a solution to the problems you created. Open your wallets. Experts have only warned you to, repeatedly since around 2010. And still do.
