Sweden’s Chief Epidemiologist Anders Tegnell, a largely unknown figure before the pandemic who became internationally known as the figurehead of the Swedish response, told Reuters he believed the data raised doubts about the use of lockdowns.

“I think people will probably think very carefully about these total shutdowns, how good they really were,” he said.

If you want to compare apples with apples, rather than with banana peels, easily the most significant & relevant comparison is Sweden with its Nordic neighbors.

Any other comparisons are irrelevant fluff.

Bottom line: Sweden's strategy was an epic failure.

So people are still trying to compare Sweden with places like Italy and France where normal social distancing is measures in millimeters and people great each other by licking each other's faces. You know, instead of comparing Sweden with say Denmark where people can't wait for the 2m rule to be over so they can get back to their usual 3 to 5 m of social distance or even Finland where 5km is kinda a bit too close.

Thing is this has been brought up many times.
