In a weird way I kind of admire JT for this. He is not being phony and is acting like the person he most probably is: a spoiled rich kid who has never been told "no" and does whatever he wants. Plus he is probably thinking something like "you morons keeping voting for me no matter what...time to catch some waves baby!".
It's not the biggest scandal ever, not even close. What it does is further demonstrate how insincere Trudeau really is and just how far his supporters have their heads up his ass.
And I wouldn't care who the Prime Minister was at the time. If they created a day like that then pulled that move, I'd call them out, just the same.
