No-one is safe from skin cancer in Australia
According to the Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD), Australia has a very high incidence of skin cancer, both melanoma and non-melanoma.
Another good reason to stay away from Australia if the accent isn't enough.

Yes, but only if I'll be outside for more than an hour. I think it's use is worthwhile but also some common sense is needed for its use. For people with more sensitive skin or susceptible to burning, most definitely, yes. I find it puzzling that many people think exposure to any sunlight is "evil", even though it's a great way to naturally boost your Vitamin D.

Spent time living in Queensland Australia on a work assignment. First kid was born there.
While wife in hospital and delivery had stalled a bit I wandered the hospital.
It was 6am, and sun had been up for a few hours.
One floor up was skin cancer recovery ward.
For about 20 minutes I played a few rounds of cards with old guys missing various parts of scalps and faces.
Then got back to my wife.
