Indirectly yes because democracy was imposed on Japan, and all female subway cars for women's safety and security would most likely be something that a democratic country would employ.Does it have something to do with the Potsdam Declaration?
I stand corrected, I did not do due diligence in a previous post, for the first time in 50 years, Japan was given a seat on the U.N. security council after paying hundreds of millions of dollars to the U.N. to get in for 2009-2010.
However, the present situtation with the contradictions between the constitution with respect to article 9 and the Japan Security Treaty along with the policy of the "Japan-US. Declaration on Security" and the recent Special Arrangement Act for the mandatory use of land for U.S. forces in Japan being presented as a gift from Japan, reinforces the fact that Japan is not behaving as a sovereign state, but as a proconsul. The government of Japan is more and more acting as a colony of the United States, and America controls the military affairs and crucial parts of the Japanese territory. The U.S. controlled Yokota army base is located in the capital of Japan, Tokyo, at a highly subsidized lease rate or in many cases free of charge, relative to the astronomical cost of Tokyo land prices? Is it because the occupation is not really over, and the treaties are not what they appear to be? Why should a sovereign Japan support so many U.S. military bases, on its soil? The government of Japan often does not behave as it has sovereignty with respect to America. With respect to hobbying, a Japanese bank study, indicates the the number of brothels in Hokkaido, has increased by 4 fold, as other business have contracted.

There are a few host bars in Japan, mostly in Tokyo where the situation is reversed, women clients and male hosts, mostly young Japanese college age guys catering to women, a reverse of the normal culture. One such bar was featuring foreign guys, so one could actually hobby and get paid at the same time.
For sure. I used to know someone long time ago that works for World agency to counsel ex-SP. This is the side that gets the funding & attention.The side of the industry that caters to foreigners is brasher and glitzier, more visible.

Women they see hardly hobby material. There's bunch of J-TV series & movies based on these clubs.so one could actually hobby and get paid at the same time.

Just got back from a long trip for work. I didn't have as much time this trip to check things out, but I did manage to visit NY NY again, and it hasn't changed. The only thing I couldn't figure out was the pricing structure. The first time I went there with some guys from the Tokyo office, the price was 9800 yen(Non prime time hours). When I took some gaijin friends the price was 9400 yen. I asked what they got, and they received the standard service, which I couldn't figure out, as sometimes I know they have charged non-Japanese more than the standard rate. So when I got back into Tokyo a day before I was flying back, I decided to check them out again. This time the price was 9600 yen, and the service was great as always. The girl even tried to set up a "date" outside of work, but I was leaving the next day, and there was no way I was going to go meet her in Chiba at 2am. I also went by Misspuke, and it is true, once they see you a couple of times, the menu does open up. The Thai massage is great there, really authentic, which is the reason I went there the first time this trip. The second visit, I asked for the same girl, and the comfort level was much higher, and the options available much more fun. I did travel a fair bit, but I never did get to try anything outside of Tokyo.
