Addiction is a coping mechanism.

To beat this "addiction" you have to do dopamine detox or reset.
i.e. If you've been putting something off, avoiding, painting, fixing something on your car, cleaning the house/apartment, etc, you literally have to jump in and do it.
Some don't like this method because it's swinging the pendulum too far and fast to the other side, but for some it's the right method.

Or there's this method, which I haven't tried myself but seems good too.

My friend taught me this not too long ago. He explained it to me and I thought "okay, sure?".
A few days later I sent him a link to youtube, his literal text back was "can't watch it yet, I didn't earn it". So whatever he was doing for work he had to get that done, along with groceries and other life stuff.
He would only watch the video after he did what he had to do during the day.

No different than playing a game on your phone or whatever, you're giving yourself a reward before doing anything. We're doing it wrong.

Shit isn't easy, but if you push through it one day at a time, it seems to get easier.
If you have to, try hour by hour with the porn addiction if that's how bad it is.

Look up dopamine detox, tons of stuff out there.

Like someone else said above we all are sex addicts. I want to stop this so badly but i am doing it since 2008 becuase i an not getting it from home. I get urges atleast once a week and need someone to help me out. Sometimes i just need to talk and hug or cuddle. if you want to stop first step is stop coming to this website.

If I were you, I would avoid all triggers, including going on a forum like this.. it's not inherently bad to see an escort or watch porn, but if you feel like it is hurting you, it's time to step away from it and replace these behaviors with other things that make you feel good. I have struggled with addiction myself and nature, spirituality, art, reading, being interested in certain things, developing healthy friendships, exercising, all helped me.

I don't agree with escorts who are saying ''just make more money and indulge''. I don't personally want to see men who view me as part of an addiction or compulsive behavior.. it's not pleasant and it creates resentment..
