How many "Gordie Howe Hat tricks" did Gordie Howe have? and who is the career leader in "GHHT"s? (includes playoff games}

You must answer both questions correctly!
I guess this one was a tuffy, no attempts to answer.

......Surprisingly, Gordie Howe had only 2 GHHTs, the career leader in GHHTs is Rick Tocchett with 18.

Interesting I thought his career was over before the WHA (which extended the career of quite a few aging veterans).
Admittedly a bs question. There was some American team that went broke...and Backstrom was their only name player...in a futile attempt to rescue the franchise, they played there last 2 games in Ottawa. The Civic centre was packed - but the franchise died. So Backstrom played for Ottawa for 2 games (I cant remember the name of the team even though I went to one of the games).

He was probably 7-8 inches.
shack There was a guy named Howard XXXXXXX. His last name isn't important. He was a major player at the Teamsters, some years ago. My old boss knew him for business/ social, would have seen him stark, in a sauna or something. His member described as "a roll of tar paper!!!!". Howard was a white guy. Formerly a heavy smoker, later a 'box a day' toothpick chewer. Howard banged the office alcohic slut after a company party once, stopped by the office the next day, to drop off her shoes! Hell of a nice guy, never heard anyone say a bad word about him.

He challenged MLB's "reserve clause" in a court of competent jurisdiction and won. Who is he?
Challenge Flag!

I think Curt Flood lost his case, and Andy Messersmith and Dave McNally were the first Free Agents. McNally retired, without excersising the right. McNally was Montreal Expos property at the end of his career. If I recall correctly, was traded to the 'spos for Rich Coggins. Please verify, if Flood was deemed correct. I could be wrong ,but I don't think I am.

I am a famous hockey player and tomorrow (January 3rd) is my birthday. Who am I?
I can't say I'm fond of this kind of question, SkyRider. Matt Frattin was also born January 3, and was a Leaf, not as famous as Bobby Hull, but this should have had more information to yield only one possible correct answer. Just my nickel, since we don't have cents anymore.

I knew that about Howe, might have guessed Tocchet. Bob Probert and Brendan Shanahan had a few, too. The Howe part is/was a question in Trivial Pursuit, Sports Edition. nondescriptive, could you give maybe 4 days, before declaring a question a stump, please? Your call.

Ya, that sounds good, let's make it a rule for this thread, for stumpers , no answers posted until at least 4 days from when the question was posted.

In the 1995 NBA Expansion Draft, two players were selected by the Vancouver Grizzlies, who later played for the Toronto Raptors. Who are they?

Nobody is going to get both of them so take your best shot at one of them. I say this question will still be here, unanswered, at the end of the month. This one is more "Sports Minutae" than Trivia, even though true basketball fans would have heard of both. One of them was one of my personal favorite Raptors, from the SkyDome era.

Guys, keep in mind that I'm trying to come up with valid questions to stump whole teams of people who cover sports for a living, so if no one here can get some of mine, that's really a good sign we could handily beat all comers, with a posted score to beat.
