So, i dont have the best record for V-day thus far. i think the most memorable one so far i recieved a rose from the esso station along with a few chocolate bars from a college BF. Im hoping for a nice one this year, but im not counting my chickens just yet.

So guys and gals, any special plans? who will be hobbying this day, is it worth staying late at work?

They say that single people get all riled up about finding that special some one when that date comes near. Just another Sunday to me this year.
As for hobbying on it just a matter of finding some one interesting but I won't get all wound up about it.

I'm doing my damndest to not do anything on Valentine's Day. It's not that I'm a meanie nor a cold-hearted bastard; rather it's my trying to set "ground rules" by way of example with the new GF. I don't subscribe to frivolous expenditures on days created by North American marketing machines.

What's so special about V Day anyway? I don't need any day set aside to tell her that she's special. I'll do it when I feel like it which currently anyway, is pretty much every day.

I'm all for random moments of kindness, but I'm not for spending unnecessarily on roses and chocolates which otherwise cost a fraction of what they do on Feb 14.

Just my opinion.

I don't give a crap about Valentine's day. Is there a more commercial driven day through the year?
Do any guys care about this day at all, or do we just go through the motions to make someone else happy because they feel it is important?

yeah it is a frivilous holiday, i agree, but its a nice excuse to hang out at home, watch cheesy movies and wear some sexy lingerie for the partner. since no one ever really did anything nice for me on this day (except for my mom, she buys me chocolates and gives me a valentine) i guess i dont know what im missing or not missing.

Yes, to take her out on the day after or day before to avoid all of the unecessary crazyness that comes with the most overated event of the year.

I like Valentines day. This year my girlfriend said if I bought her a big box of Godiva chocolates (she is a chocolate freak) she would do ANYTHING for me. So I am getting her the box of chocolates and I am going to have her paint the living room and front hall.

asking about Valentine's Day on an escort board where there are many guys who have a significant other but still use the services of an escort or an mpa, not exactly the most representative hmmm :D
