So as you guys know, I am new to this scene. I have been meaning to ask this.

What is the difference between Spa's and SP's?

Are the services the same? Cost? etc?

What would make one go for a Spa vs SP and/or vice versa?

Thanks.

Go to a spa if you want an erotic massage. Go see an SP if you want another Rebecca Gold type of experience.

Spa costs are advertised on their websites so pretty easy to determine. You will likely pay in the area of $120-$150 for a half hour and $150-$200 for an hour, depending where you go.

SP rates are more variable. I would say they start in the same range as massage but go up higher, in some cases much higher. Ottawa doesn't have much in the way of agencies so you will most likely end up dealing with indies. There isn't a lot of consistency as far as rates go. You need to ask each lady individually. In Montreal, agencies usually start around $200-$220/hour and up. In Toronto, $240-$260/hour and up. In Ottawa you don't really need to spend more than $200-$250/hour but you definitely could if you so choose.

The main reason to choose one over the other is the type of experience you are looking for. It sounds like your only experience so far is your visit with Rebecca. I suggest you try out some spas and a few more SPs. You will figure things out pretty quick. Be sure to check for reviews. It's easy to waste money on bad experiences. If you can't find some good reliable reviews about a provider, best to not see them. If you think something appears too good to be true, it is.

Wow @showbizz, thank you.

That's quite the list.. You've convinced me for sure!! I really hope escorts aren't going to die out. I don't think I have any interest anymore in Spa's.

Yeah, thanks itd131.. Your correct.. so far only my experience was with Rebecca so far. I've reached out to a few more, but haven't heard back. Which is what made me think of maybe considering Spa's. But it sounds like I'm better off sticking with SP's at this point. :)

The mistake some people make is going to a spa looking for a Rebecca Gold experience. If you do that, most of the time you will end up disappointed. If you want SP services, you are smart to stick to SPs. Here's a list that might be helpful, although with COVID, I'm not sure how accurate it is anymore:

Since you're new I have to offer a warning:

Don't fall into the trap of letting Showbizz become your spirit guide. He posts a lot, and posts long replies, which can camouflauge him as a helpful buddy... but he's also fundamentally anti-sex worker at heart, and has done things in the past that, at best, violated discretion, and at worst, endangered providers he has met with (such as hosting a public document that contained their pictures, former contact info, and location information).

I will say that his list of items in this thread isn't too far off base, other than containing the unproveable lie that spas are driving up rates, and having a generally punitive anti-spa tone.

I've personally never been to a spa or booked an indie MA, but there are also people who love the spa experience and have never booked an escort!

There is some merit to this post tho I wouldn't go as far as anti-sex workers.
He does show bias against spas and OIC in general and he will target them as often as he can thru his posts.

One must wonder if he already has his own niche of ladies he sees, why must he hate on other legit workers in this industry.
I understand if it's fake ads and all. But legit ladies as well?

Anyone who is vocally opposed to screening and "high" rates is anti-sex worker, imo.

I wouldn't criticize anybody who quietly chooses to only see SWs who don't screen, or chooses to see SWs within a certain rate bracket (I have to do that myself), but when you get online and try to foster an environment of hostility towards those two things you're 1) saying you don't give a shit about SW's safety, and 2) saying you don't give a shit about SW's financial stability.

I would agree 100% with what you say and sure he hobbied during the pandemic if you have watch his post

You have to decide if you want to see an SP or a MA both have good points and bad and also depends on your financial situation
