SP Selfies

This is not really a rant....but a helpful suggestion.

why do soooo many SP use phones/ mirrors/messy bathrooms to take pictures of themselves?

Usually they look awkward....cell phone is in the shot ..with poor lighting.


Would it not make sense to pose....even have a client ...snap some much more seductive photos..in good positions...with nice creative poses.

Most clients would gladly take a couple minutes to help the ladies out. She is all dressed..looking good...fresh.......she should hand her camera to someone and they could snap away.... Doing it this way would give her a good portfolio on her camera to choose from. Much easier to update ads with 'fresh' and current photos.

Just a thought ladies.

They are real. I like them. I avoid ads with stylized and professionally photoshoped photos as I cannot make genuine judgement about her looks.

I suppose it would be better if they handed the phone to someone to take the picture, but I much prefer selfies. The overdone photoshopping so often employed not only masks what the girl actually looks like but often makes her indistinguishable from dozens of other girls with similar figures in similar poses.

Cell phones are very private and what if the client accidentally hit the wrong button, and displayed all the contact info and happened to notice or recognize a phone number? This could potentially be disastrous.

I almost prefer them, especially with BP ads; far more authentic and believable than anything that looks too professional.

OP makes some good points. Some SP selfies are so terrible and really useless when they are dark, out of focus and grainy and I don't mean on purpose either.
