Yup.

When I first moved to Toronto, didnt have any references. Started with indy SPs, and I would usually offer to send a deposit, and once they confirm, send them full donation via interac.
Yes, I know many will balk at this. But do your homework enough, and I think there is no chance that a professional SP will rip you off.
I prefer doing this because its convenient (no need to deal in cash), it feels less transactional when I get there (delusion on my part), shows the SP you are serious, maybe builds trust too.
Also, sometimes I find it a hassle to ask for a reference lol

Just my $0.02

My big issue also with e-transfer is I know it provides my name when I use it, something which I don't want to do. Anonymity is a huge form of security - granted one lady knows my name and I don't expect an issue but I saw her many, many times and she gave me hers.

To be fair, I think I would actually be fine sending a small e-transfer to certain ladies if I knew it was anonymous. Saves the hassle of getting a reference, not that it would necessarily be an issue.

Sounds like the one SP you used for a reference felt you were stepping out on her? Either way, unless I'm confused, isn't the obvious option to use the second SP who asked for the reference as a new reference. assuming that meeting went well? To me it almost feels like a game of hot potato. See one girl, she's the reference. See another girl, she becomes the new reference. Sounds crude but I don't think it's fair to bother one SP for a bunch of reference requests. I just wish there was a simpler way - fact is some guys don't hobby often so the idea of a "recent" reference doesn't work..
I only gave one reference to the new SP and the new SP contacted my reference .

Never have, never will and will never recommend anyone to do so.
There was recently a thread that was deleted and a well reviewed indy SP had asked for an e transfer and the client had sent it only for the SP not to go through with the appointment and not return the e transfer. Again why would anyone in their right mind do such a thing.

If the thread was legit, it wouldn’t be deleted. If it was made up I could see a mod deleting an attack.
I heard another case where the sp cancelled an appt after getting an etransfer deposit. He didn’t want to reschedule and had a hard time getting his money back, it eventually it was resolved.

Yes and the SP supplying the reference treated you less than stellar when you saw her again. As I stated, sounds like she resented the fact that you are seeing other women. So, don't see her again and use the new SP as a future reference (assuming she's willing). There's a bunch of great ladies who are a pleasure to see again and again but then there's others who reveal some of their weird idiosyncrasies over time and sometimes you won't like what you see when the curtain is pulled away. I can empathize after seeing a few MPA's multiple times and most of them became lethargic, a little bitchy (in one case), entitled, less energetic, and boring over time. Plenty of other lovely ladies out there so I moved on and you can do the same.

I wouldn't know. Plenty of legit stuff that has gone on that gets complained about by paying advertisers and so it magically disappears. Given there are plenty of ladies, agency and indy, that don't require an e-transfer, I don't know why some guys bother with it. Granted, if a trusted person provided a reference saying SP X accepts transfers and she's the real deal, I'm sure many guys would do it but I haven't seen that happen too often. Maybe someone who does this often can name names.

From what I read in that thread there nothing to suggest it was made up. The poster was saying the SP wanted him to use the transfer for an upcoming appointment next time she was in town. The SP in question in that thread has had numerous negative threads removed about her.

Depending on the bank, you can enter anything you want in your name and email section. Scotiabank is one.

I guess she used the money she scammed to get the threads deleted.

Totally love getting deposit. Of course I do. But never do I ask for them or expect them.

I should clarify. I do have monthly rates. Which are paid, lump sum at the beginning of the month. These are for guys who see me weekly, bi-weekly. They get a mistress service. Phones calls, daily texts, etc. Everything one would come to expect from a regular civie relationship. But this is something deleveoped over time.

Deposit for a first time visit??? I agree, I would not. Again - too many bad apples have ruined it.

That's really a shame! Having graduated from the school of hard knocks first and foremost, I have learned that life's too short for revenge and other counterproductive measures. It's best to leave the past in the past and focus on the future. This however takes emotional maturity, which many of us don't possess at any age.
So much truth in this statement...
