Not that I'm surprised that so many people are still wearing masks, I don't think that "defying" is the right word.

If there was a mandate saying that people are not allowed to wear masks, it would be correct. But it is everybody's individual choice. They are not defying anything.

Superstore on Monday i would say 70% were wearing a mask. Got a email monday evening. My goodlife is going to require wearing of masks. I worked out on Monday during the day it was so nice not wearing a mask....I did see a number of people still wearing masks. I bet some of them cried to mgmt and they changed it back to wearing masks. Unbelievable

It is not “defying”. Agreed there.

What I think is fucked is the switch of narrative. Before anti-maskers were saying that they are sticking up for freedom and defying the government was essential. Now they are saying that people defying the government are wrong.

People who were for masking and mandates would safe it was public say over the “your body, your choice” argument. Now they are using “my body, my choice” as their argument for continuing to wear a mask after the mandate was lifted.

It is fucking hilarious to see both side swap arguments and be so hypocritical themselves while now calling the other side hypocrites.

LMAO!!! 😂😂😂😂😂

Give it two weeks and see what happens. Already today noticed a huge decline for wearing masks vs yesterday. The sheeple are just afraid of getting slaughtered while it is their shepherd who feeds on them lol

This is true and exactly what they want. People to keep tribing dividing and subdividing, labeling, judging, fighting, controlling etc…so they are busy undermining and fighting internally and miss the real issue of this world and the ones getting away with almost anything they want. It’s a perfect distraction. How can you feel sorry for them because if you try to help them they just backlash and turn on you. They wouldn’t know what to do with true freedom of mind thought and body even if you handed it to them on a platter. They are destined for boxes and labels. You can’t help them. They don’t want to be helped.

I don’t know what you are implying here or trying to say but I not wearing masks in grocery stores or anywhere I don’t need to. All I am saying is that I have noticed a significant amount of people stop wearing masks each day the masks mandates got lifted. First day it was like 95%, second day it dropped to 70%, today I noticed like 30% people wearing masks. From this I am saying that in 2 weeks people will be conditioned to not care about masks anymore and you will see a small percentage of people almost always wearing masks.

This is quite evident. Just go to schools and public places and reality will hit you 🤣

They'll slowly start to disappear. I'm not going to freak out because people choose to wear or not wear them. Whatever makes you feel comfortable. My parents are in a LTC home so masks are still required and I get a rapid test before every visit. I'll continue to wear my N95 for the most part when I go shopping or most other public places. But if I go to a restaurant, obviously I won't wear one. I'm not worried about getting COVID as I'm triple and my parents are quadruple vaxxed, but I'd hate to pass it on to them. Plus, if I get it, I won't be able to see them for a week. While they're in good health, they are elderly.

Toronto.

Sunday night I considered it day 1 because I saw like 5 people in loblaws walking around without masks and nobody gave a shit. I had my mask on.

Monday was day 1 officially. I noticed a lot more people without masks at no frills and loblaws and schools but more today then yesterday.

Today is day 2 and I noticed only a few parents and kids with masks at schools and in loblaws again many more people not wearing it compared to day 1 and yesterday.

The thing to watch is the number of hospital and ICU admissions... Hopefully they stay low. We have a good number of people who've been vaccinated.

So you are going by your own personal observations at this point. Fine.

Seeing as yesterday was the first day of the lifting of the mask mandate (March 21), today is the second, how can you already see how many people are wearing masks tomorrow which is the 3rd day. I'll have to remember how meaningless your personal observations are for future references.

You people are too funny.😅🤣😆 🤪 😂

How will you feel when your mask mandates supporting buddies stop caring about wearing them? Will you stop being their friend? This is called conditioning, however through this condition people typically are not aware of their behaviour and mind changes over time and typically just forget about it and go around like nothing happened when not much has changed since the omnicron variant. It just happens and they forget how it used to be.

Also first unofficial day was Sunday not Monday because many businesses and stores didn’t care when the scary unmasked boogie people roamed around.

The Covidians by nature seem pretty triggered by the dropping of the mandates, lol.

I guess we couldn't of expected any less.

But alas they will have their day again when the numbers go back up and media does what it does best. Incite fear.

Time to live with it folks. These cycles are never going to end. It's the new normal.

Protect yourself. Exercise, eat meat, avoid sugar, have salt, get sunlight and fresh air.

Enjoy your live.

That's what I said. The first official day was yesterday. Day 3 isn't until tomorrow.

I didn't tell anybody what to do or not to do and made no judgement on them, as opposed to whoever was mocking me and laughing at me for saying I'd wear one to a concert.

This is such a hoot! The world teeters on the brink of nuclear war (in case you haven't noticed, there's a madman on the other side of the world with 1,600 nuclear weapons who has stated publicly that if he goes down he is quite happy to take the rest of us with him), and people in Ontario are shitting their pants about the need for masks in face of a head cold with a fancy name! Get a grip, guys.
I must confess I haven't been out of the house since the mandate was lifted. I work at home, and clients come into my office, which has always been a mask-free zone. ( I live in a rural area and it seems that people here are much less freaked out than people in Toronto). However this morning I am heading to Toronto, and I will be interested to see how people are behaving. No matter what, I can promise you that I am not going to disrespect anyone for their personal choice. The premier has made this decision up to the individual, and I think he did the right thing. Perhaps a little less sneering and name calling on this board would be in order.
