Modeling suggests (38, 39) that population-level compliance with public mask wearing of 70% combined with contact tracing would be critical to halt epidemic growth
This proves your study is bullshit, because in Toronto we've had well over 90% compliance with restaurant contact tracing as well, and it did NOT halt the epidemic growth, only the lockdowns did

Its you guys who can't admit it. New infections remained unchanged when masks came into effect on July 14th, and actually went up a couple of months after that. Admit it, masks made no impact, only the lockdowns did
Are you really trying to pretend that human behaviour isn't playing a major role? You know, activity like wearing N95 masks without being fitted the way the designers intended.

As soon as masks became common, the numbers began dropping. I know you want to pretend people weren't wearing masks April, May, or June but that is not reality.

Google News stories from March 15-June 18

Simply not true, numbers did not drop when masks became common (or mandatory).
Numbers stayed the same for about a month or two, and then began drastically increasing.
And if you look at countries like Spain, France, Italy....etc which also made masks manadatory, the exact same thing happened.
Their numbers also increased, and their 2nd wave was a lot worse than their 1st wave.

You simply cannot admit that I'm right

Not the cause of it, the masks just didnt have any effect
Perhaps because people working in plants, factories, offices and with others would slack on wearing it then bring the virus home to other maskless family members. I personally know of 2 families that this exact scenario occurred. Then you have the group when socializing with friends and family would slack with wearing it or being in the lobby of a condo and not wearing it. A packed TTC vehicle and you always get the dumbass who doesn't cover their nose or not wearing one at all that maybe just maybe starts the spread, you think???

It's not wearing it properly and letting down one's guard of when to have it on or not that is the issue, not the mask itself. Wearing it WORKS regardless of your nonsense, yes nonsense!!!

One more thing!!!

ALL MASKS HELP except for the handkerchiefs and thong underwear wrapped around one's chin. Albeit I have had thongs wrapped around my chin in the past but it wasn't during the pandemic!!!!

No, actually I'm sitting on my laptop doing some work and when I get stressed with my real world events I click on here for a laugh and it always works! LOL
I'm glad you're amused.

Now go out and buy yourself a box of N95 masks 😷

I have about 25 of them but rarely use them. I brought one when dropping off someone at a hospital and because they were frail they allowed me in but made me remove my N95 and put on the medical blue mask which they supplied. It wasn't a request it was a must if I wanted to escort the patient. Unlike Covidiot Karens I complied and went on with my day and thanked the staff on my way out. The amazing thing is I didn't catch COVID. Imagine that LOL.

Really? Have you looked at those charts you were naively posting a while back?

Mask use was common and expected in many stores by Mid-April. Mid-April was also the peak in the spring.
