Chicago baby!........
And these folks imitate Marinus Van Der Lubbe. right?Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Getting upset? Lacking emotional control are we? Lashing out because you have no idea how to handle people disagreeing with you? Are you ok? Should I get someone to help you?Why do you answer with a question. You are a waste of time with you useless posts.
Go hide under a rock, come back when you grow up and not so childish.
You come across as mentally challenged. AMF
Who's to say. Either way, that would be giving some far, far too much credit. And these folks imitate Marinus Van Der Lubbe. right?
I wholeheartedly agree with you. I think that's where much of my frustration lies. We tend to apply bandaids to the symptoms of an underlying issue, and oftentimes those bandaids proliferate the underlying issue. The answer to homelessness isn't providing a tent, it's making sure housing and living expenses are affordable. The tent is a bandaid. Affordable housing is the permanent solution.Yeah, it's all about balance. But there's nothing about empathy that says we don't hold people responsible. Empathy at it's core is about understanding people come from different places in their lives to be where they are. We don't have to like it or accept it, it's just understanding people can be different. And there is an absolutely responsibility to do what you're able to fix those behaviours which are problematic. Assuming, of course, you're able to have the ability to do it.
One thing that comes to mind as I read what you've written is what I think is societal inability to deal with root causes. Homelessness doesn't go away because we remove a tent city, theft doesn't go away because we incarcerate people. Unless we fix the root cause of problems, no problem will ever go away. An example are mass shootings. Yeah, okay, so take the guns away but that doesn't take away the person who fires the gun, it doesn't remove the urge to kill, to do violence, to glorify yourself through violence. Unless we address that stuff, then you still have the problem.
My mistake, I shouldn't have said petty theft. I'm talking more like <$5000 type deal.I agree on the homelessness issue. Petty theft?.... How many businesses are actually moving away due to petty theft?

Your post says far more about you and how you think than it does about me.
You must be awesome with the ladies if something as trivial as this drives you into this keyboard warrior rage.
So let me understand this".... The newly elected Dem mayor WANTS Chicago to be a "disgusting ghetto". And the stores close - apparently - because of him, a week after he's elected.
She's telling the truth here. I give her credit.
While the gops live in their gated community and openly shoot anyone who approach their drive way...So let me understand this".... The newly elected Dem mayor WANTS Chicago to be a "disgusting ghetto". And the stores close - apparently - because of him, a week after he's elected.
And Lion-heart (your impeccable Twitter source) also devotes a lot of her page to discussing "the Biden crime family".
You guys exist in this bizarro world where Blacks, progressives and Dems destroy America and apparently only re electing Trump can possible save the country.![]()

No.
In 2020 there were about 434 million guns in the US, no doubt many millions more added in the last 3 years. Your summary is correct. If guns are the real, real problem, there would be no one left standing.Similarly, gun violence in the States.... Well, there have always been a lot of guns there. So the underlying cause of these increased mass shootings lies elsewhere. It may be mental illness, societal changes, increased social media and internet use, etc. Restricting guns is a bandaid solution that may help somewhat, but doesn't address the underlying problem.
I notice that as soon as I called you out, you changed your approach. Are you always this easily manipulated? FFS man, stand up for yourself. The new psychologist on this board.
Hi Doc, You are an excellent troll. ContinueI notice that as soon as I called you out, you changed your approach. Are you always this easily manipulated? FFS man, stand up for yourself.
I see you've learned your lesson. Now please, tell me more about all those white men on January 6th. Given that it was so off-topic, it much be a 'thing' of yours right?Hi Doc, You are an excellent troll. Continue![]()
Sure they are documented just as systematic racism is well documented. The - US based - crime rates by race are well documented. The - US based - scholastic achievement by race in the US is well documented. Most 'results' by race are well documented. You can correctly argue root causes all you want but in the here-and-now, it doesn't matter. History clearly has an effect on the present. For all of us. But man, your own personal choices and behaviors and general outlook on life are FAR more relevant in determining your outcomes than what happened to your grandma, I promise you.
Arizona and Texas will become blue because of the all of the people abandoning California. Too bad these people don't seem to understand that their support of Democrat policies and politicians were the problem, and life will only get better if they leave those politics behind.I believe red and blue does matter. I lived in California for 40 years and travelled all over the US and Canada, via motorcycle in search of a safe clean place to live. The more liberal California became, the more dangerous as well. Currently people can walk into any store, break into any car and take less than $1000 of stuff without prosecution. Immediately after the law took effect, incidents skyrocketed. Soft on drug crimes and free needles also caused crime to go up significantly. San Francisco use to be a great place, now It is a shit hole in the same category as Los Angeles, San Diego, Oakland, Austin, Texas, Detroit Michigan and a place I use to enjoy, Asheville North Carolina……just to name a few. All of those cities have one thing in common, they are blue. The only red state that I can think of with a significant crime problem is Florida. The NICB recently, in a politically correct description, said that Florida’s crime problem is generated by its large Hispanic immigrant population. The size of the city has nothing to do with it. Take Idaho for example, the entire state is extremely safe because it is under conservative leadership and very gun friendly. A robber, a rapist, or a burglar does not know who is, or who is not carrying a gun, which makes a huge difference. That last statement will offend many Canadians because I know the people up north are not typically gun friendly, but Canadians live in a society where most guns are against the law. It is an entirely different environment in the United States. however, this is not a debate about guns. I have a friend who is now a police officer in Boise, Idaho. He used to work in Los Angeles. During a short conversation, he told me that the Cops in Idaho look for stuff to do, which he thought was impossible as a cop in California. He said most California cops just chase radio calls and do not have time to be proactive. I know with 100% certainty that many California cops are moving to states like Idaho to continue their profession. When they do it, they absorb a huge pay cut. With overtime, most cops in California can easily exceed 200k per year, Boise PD cops may earn $30 per hour. Cops in California retire with a lifetime pension of 90% of their last year and full medical benefit, Idaho cops don’t come close. People move to places like Idaho because it is less expensive and MUCH safer, due to its red policies. Blue policies are so bad, the eastern portion of Washington, and Oregon want to become part of Idaho. All of that said, Texas, and Arizona used to be dark red, now both states are purple and soon they will be blue. Both of those states crime stats are gradually climbing, watch what happens after they become blue, which will be very soon..
