Is it conceivable that he was a shill, because he would be antagonistic over the absolute silliest things. By shill I mean working on behalf of the host forum.
Having said that, I also noticed that when he, along with some others of the same ilk, weren't around to antagonize, the threads would go limp very quickly.
I've had very limited exposure to other forums, but I've noticed that if there's no one around to stir up a little shit, discussions fade out pretty quick, generally speaking.
