So, what did I learn from the last week events?

The Ottawa Citizens and Business Owners have had enough. Yet the right wingers now do not give a shit about the businesses or citizens that cannot get on with their daily lives and have had to shut down the stores and Malls. Yet the bunch of Conservative MPs led by Baby Scheer are under fire for exacerbating the situation there:

Downtown Ottawa residents tired of 'living hell' during trucker protest
"But, but, but, but...... they're doing this for all Canadians!"

I feel for those citizens but this is probably for the best because all of this just continues to erode what little support this convoy had before. If they hadn't acted like idiots and just wrapped it up after last weekend, there would have been more support for their plight. Now they're just setting fire to whatever progress they made in the court of public opinion.

Ah, so its now a religious cult like thing where no evidence can shake you in your beliefs about truckers.

Nope, juat unlike you, i am actually there and seeing is beleiving... go out and check for yourself, but i do understand that repeating blatant lies is a lot easier and convenient.

Nope on the contrary, support only keeps growing, only one of the FB groups has over 600K members, if you were not so biggoted, and hateful against your fellow neighbours that are out there in the freezing cold standing up to the oppresive regime, you would go out and see for yourself what is actually happening....

Not that the likes of you care about the truth anyways.

Not that it will make a difference to the antivaxxer trolls on this board, but this is a must read for anyone still being conned into thinking this is for truckers (and please don't get me started on it being "for all Canadians"). Thanks for posting.

The fact you use FB group membership as a barometer of support either for or against this rally shows how little credibility your arguments have.

I don’t think I am bigoted, but people who steal from food shelters, proudly wave nazi flags, assault homeless people, terrorize retail and hotel staff, desecrate war memorials, throw stones and racist slurs, harass local residents….. if thinking those people are assholes, then call me what you wish, I will wear that label proudly.

James Bauder, founder of Canada Unity, was involved 2 years ago in the yellow vest anti-union protests against workers locked out by Federated Co-op. The same company who the convoy organizers said would give a discount on fuel for the convoy. FCL has denied any deal was made but GoFundMe has stated that they released $1M to a fuel wholesaler, any guesses which company got the money?

So you're an anti-vaxxer?
What is wrong with being one ? I mean you are obviously using it as a derogathory term, i am curious as to why ?

This kind of behaviour, that was encouraged, and promoted by the Libs, as to call ppl antivaxers as if it were a bad thing is why i am out there, to make sure that we live in a just society that respects its fellow men

Anti-vaxxers are bringing back the measles and prolonging the pandemic.
Check the death rates for the US vs the rest of the industrialized world.

There were anti-vaxxers for the smallpox vaccine when that came out as well.
Ant-science people are dragging us down and prolonging the pandemic, not to mention upping our health care bills.

99% of those called antivaxers, are fully vaxed againat all of those have all the regular shots, but are opposed to receiving one that was rushed out with known side effects. Many ppl have died, many more suffer permanent consequences related to the covid shots...... so yes when the risk is as high as this, no one should be forced to take one......

Now question, do you care what happens to the uvaxed or antivaxers as you call them ?

About 5.7 million have died from Covid.
How many have died from the vaccine?

No one is keeping tabs..... and it is irelevant, since it dis not prevent spreading of covid, or protect those that it was supposed so, here we are ,all with two jabs or more, and it is still rampant as ever, jabbed ,unjabbed everyone is getting sick and having more or less same reactions..... and what is the aolution to this, well they are now forcing ppl to take something that does not work even more frequently, and buddy that vaccine is not as safe as you are made to beleive, it is like playing russian rullete with your body, and benefits dont outweigh the risks anymore.

Not relevant?

Its the entire point.
Its about people who don't believe in public good, who won't take an incredibly tiny risk to help out everyone else in their community keep this pandemic under control.

You can choose to be a selfish prick on the issue, just be aware that's how it looks.

Lockdowns only reduced COVID deaths by 0.2 per cent, Johns Hopkins study finds
'We find no evidence that lockdowns, school closures, border closures, and limiting gatherings have had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality'
A new study out of Johns Hopkins University is claiming that worldwide pandemic lockdowns only prevented 0.2 per cent of COVID-19 deaths and were “not an effective way of reducing mortality rates during a pandemic.”
“We find no evidence that lockdowns, school closures, border closures, and limiting gatherings have had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality,” reads the paper , which is based on a review of 34 pre-existing COVID-19 studies.
Given the “devastating effects” that lockdowns have caused, the authors recommended they be “rejected out of hand as a pandemic policy instrument.”

In both Europe and the United States, researchers found that a lockdown could only be expected to bring down mortality rates by 0.2 per cent “as compared to a COVID-19 policy based solely on recommendations.” For context, 0.2 per cent of total Canadian COVID-19 fatalities thus far is equal to about 70 people.

The impact of border closures was found to be even less effective, with death rates only going down about 0.1 per cent.

Single study that doesn't look at cases or hospitalization and somehow misses this:
