Something in another post triggered an old SNL memory, and now I'm having all sorts of funny flashbacks to when I used to babysit every Saturday night and get to watch Saturday Night Live. Back when it was still funny!

My absolute favourite skit has to be 'celebrity jeopardy' with 'sean connery' it's so funny!

What was your favourite old school SNL skit?

In a very dark place
Can't remember all of it but once with Kirstie Alley as a guest her and a date are sitting in an Italian restaurant and all the male staff are all over her, using any excuse to come to the table and fondle or try to dry hump her. It just seems like normal for the restaurant. The date guy is speechless and as they are finally leaving the restaurant suggests to Kirstie that they try the Greek place down the street next time.

SNL skits

Another favourite, which I believe was from the first season, was the BAD NEWS BEES. (I am dating myself now..)

Ackroyd was the dejected bee who was caught playing with his stinger and leaving honey all over the sheets.

Also Chevy Chase at the beginning of the weekend update, talking on the phone to his girlfriend and telling her that blow was just a figure of speech.

Little vignettes that wouldn't raise an eyebrow today, but in the mid seventies, quite daring

The Trap Door Commercial

Any of Victoria Jackson sketches where she flashes, hikes up her skirt, shows leg, stockings, boobs, etc. (not for comedy purposes, though :D )

On a bit of a tangent here, does anyone have a clip of Benny Hill (Ronnie Barker) impersonating Nana Mouskouri and "singing" a "greek" song??? lol I've been looking all over but can't find it!

Christopher Walken - "I need more Cowbell"

Joe Piscopo's Frank Sinatra - he had him so down, mannerisms and all
