I don't disagree. Vast majority of thieve are looking for the quick buck. Is our legal system handling this as well as it could? Probably not. But, I don't know if we want to fill up our jails and prisons with non-violent offenders, or vigilante justice where people are killed over property...
Don't worry. When this happens to you or your love ones you'll rethink your position.

3 strikes is generous.
Keeping a prisoner costs between $100,000 and $200,000 yearly.
We can only have so many.

Lol...lefties always think non violent crimes don't affect lives.
And...who said that? You're so thick that you need to put words in other people's mouths to pretend you have a valid point. Of course crime effects people. A break and enter makes people scared and feel like they've been violated. And we haven't even touched on things like increased insurance costs and higher prices at retail. But, if you recall, my first posts in this thread were about why violence by shopkeepers and staff is not the answer. For some of the people on this board who are islamophobic, they sure want to return to the times where theft was dealt with by cutting off hands....

Insurance pays up the victim...sure that's good...but does that stop the criminal from doing it again? No...that's where you and the liberal policies fail.

Obviously you have difficulty reading, I said non-violent crime. Home invasions, by definition, are violent.
And like I said, when these thefts or burglaries become increasingly dangerous (as we are seeing) and your family is involved, you rethink your position.

We had a conservative government for nearly a decade. Trudeau has been in power for nearly a decade, and they only change he made was to bail. And, while I know PP loves to say this is a catch and release program, we need to remember that not everyone who is arrested/charged for a crime is guilty. Our legal system is based on the presumption of innocence until conviction. So, allowing non-violent suspects out on bail makes sense. Now....that being said, if someone out on bail is caught breaking the law again, bail should be revoked.

Anyways, long story short, Trudeau/Liberal policies are not different from the Harper government. So, you saying the policies failed mean you think the Cons did a lousy job as well.

Not much.

NYC crime rate drop significantly when they strengthen laws in the 90's.

We already funds these programs. Throwing more money at the problem is not a solution. Go ask a California resident.
That's not the explanation that the experts give for the drop in crime..... ;)
