Allowing stores to be open on X-Mas is sick and this comes from an avowed atheist!
Businesses that would make employees work on major holidays only show they care little for 'family values' as many parrot.....they only care about making a fast buck anyway they can! F 'em!....

Why not... Christmas Day is an arbitrary day taken over by "Christians" to replace the pagan celebration of Yule. I'd be just as happy to go shopping on December 25 as any other day.

Take charge of your life and don't be led by religious power hungry clergy who want to control your thoughts, beliefs, money, sexual behaviour, and what you do.

Organized religion is designed to influence the weak of mind and prey upon their fear.

Live a spiritually driven life that keeps you in contact with your inner voice. Follow that and you cannot go wrong.

For.

It signifies more freedom, imo.

If you, or your business, choose to observe it, help yourself.

If not, then business as usual.

As for workers, it can actually be advantageous, if they can take off on another day, that they may care more about.

Part of me wouldn't mind working that day if I could get another day off.

Christmastime is one of the most expensive times for airfare, and with blackout dates.

If I could get off on another time, when airfare is lower, that'd be cool too.

I disagree.

If done properly, it would not be about "forcing" employees to work that day.

It would actually give employees another option.

And ... it may actually result in MORE religious freedom.

Ex. A Jewish employee could work on Christmas, and take Hanakkuh off. Same for a Muslim. And so on.
