Has anybody been to Walden Galleria in Cheektowaga, NY? (thru Queenston Lewiston Bridge)

I was thinking of possibly going over to buy some things now that our dollar is pretty strong and perhaps pick up an iPhone from the Apple Store there.

Will any border agents give me a hassle if I go across and come back the same day or is it smooth sailing?

Yep.

Not if you declare everything and pay full duty and taxes.

If you do an overnight you can bring along $400 per couple instead of $200 for the day no problem.

Burlington Coat Factory, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Target are all pretty good too.

they will not allow any alcohol or tobacco. This is what they really look for. They go real easy on anything else.

Go with a friend and through Buffalo on a Bills game Sunday. Pick up a bills Jersey along the way and likely you will be pretty much waved through. If you get caught though, I don't know you.

You could proably mail it to yourself and mark the postage label as a gift and insure it for under 100. It is a small risk of course, but I think the mail is pretty reliable all in all.

This is what I've seen done frequently. Make a weekend or over night of it. Bring your suitcase almost empty. Bring back what you buy in your suitcase. PLEASE though do not leave your boxes, bags and wrappers lying in the parking lots as many do. Take a few minutes more and dump them in the trash can. The outlets are littered on weekends with these things. Have seen this being done by cars with Ontario plates.

The Galleria Mall is a tourist trap....as are the Merchants' malls close to the N.Falls area!
The real bargains are to be found at the surburban Buffalo Malls where the locals go to shop e.g. Eastern Hills mall or Boulevard Mall (there are many others)
there are also many great places to dine at reasonable prices, with great customer service, which much enhances the shopping experience.
