By the way who is committing most of those murders in Chicago? Statistics have an impact on perception. If most of the street level crime in your backyard is committed by X, you're likely going to be watchful of X. Double standard? Maybe, but profiling makes some logical sense.

If you didn't know the identity of Luke Rocco Magnotta, and you didn't know his name, but you heard about his alleged crime, what assumptions would you have made about him? Most people would assume he's White, and I wouldn't consider them racist for it.
