Oblivion
Ohtani is just the tip of the iceberg in pro sports gambling among professional athletes. Most are not stupid enough to wire tens of millions of dollars from their accounts( or allow third parties to do it ) to bookies associated with organized crime creating an incriminating electronic paper trail for the FBI to follow.

Agreed
WTF did they think was gonna happen when every other commercial on the tube during a game is a fucking gambling site!
Worst decision they ever made in long list of bad decisions...is to allow Gambling ..a foot in the door.

Its going to be very interesting what MLB does if he was the bettor.

Pete Rose is the precedent.
My guess is this doesn't come close to the Rose situation. Unlike what they did to Trevor Bauer. they will do everything possible to give him a pass on this.

It's already happening with Jontay Porter. I hope the pro leagues completely sever ties with all these gambling sites. It's completely out of control.

It's not even every other commercial. It's a non stop barrage of tickers at the bottom of broadcast with odds, sports talk radio with entire segments dedicated to it, billboards/signs all over arenas and stadiums, on hockey helmets. It never stops. It's at the point where people are more into the gambling then the actual sport.

Sports talk radio stations have also embraced gambling in their daily broadcasts. I'm not referring to ads, but the actual broadcast content. Listen to Matt Cauz on TSN 1050 and there is plenty of talk about the odds on upcoming games(he uses the word "parlay" about a dozen times a day).

On Sunday mornings they dedicate an entire hour to discussing the lines on all the games.
