Not sure how this is gona go down on such a forum, but was wondering what you guys thought?
Is it really a "medical condition" to be addicted? And also what is considered "over the top" or too much?
Any stats how how many rounds you go for and how often etc
In my opinion, an addiction is anything that interferes with your daily life and responsibilities, something you need in order to function properly, and takes precedent over your priorities.
People can become addicted to anything. It's not limited to sex, drugs, cigarettes, alcohol.

And, I believe the question asked was whether sex addiction is a Medical Condition?
I Believe it is, any addiction is made up of compulsion and obsession. And it affects the victim physically, mentally and spiritually.
The real question is will the medical ndustry recognize sex addiction as an official disease? cause if not, no insurance company would pay for treatment, let alone loss of wages etc. That's why they don't want to list it as a disease.
So, for people who need treatment, they treat the surrounding symptoms like depression rather than the real problem.
If it was a medical condition, And, as stated above, we are all sex addicts, we'd all be off on long term disability so we could get paid to jerk off all day.
Why is it that churches think too much sex is an addiction? A lot of these meetings are in churches. That's one of the problems I have with the church. When you are deeply involved in it, as is my wife, it seems that sex is not something they practice too much. What's wrong with sex?
To quote from SAAToronto, 'SAA, is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other so they may overcome their sexual addiction and help others recover from sexual addiction or sexual dependency'. This is total nonsense. The Ontario liberal voter is addicted to liberal waste and corruption, yet there is no group out there trying to help them. The Ontario government controls liquor, cigarettes, gambling, and soon to be weed. All addictions. And they still do it. Time for the churches to rise up and condemn the government for contributing to these addictions.

Yes, addicts turn hobbies into addictions. Just like a lady I knew who had a shopping addiction, hundreds of pairs of shoes and a new outfit every day, but couldn't pay the rent. That's a problem. And there probably is a 12 step fellowship for that too.
We have another addiction around here, people who have online forum addition, some can't stay away and have to comment on everything. Or some who stalk certain Lady's, we normally call them trolls, but really that's another form of addiction. It's a sickness.
