May I correct you? "A big sex drive does not have to be an addiction" But "Just go with it" doesn't work, I, for example, was in a mutually agreed upon committed relationship and cheating left right and centre, because it's not just the amount of sex, it's the kind too. Try telling smoker, alcoholic or junkie to just stop doing it? Rubmeister knows what I mean.
Katcalla - good point about going with it - you should not if it is overtaking you.. As an analogy, had some friends who got help for letting booze take over their lives. What I found was how hard it must be when booze is everywhere.... right from you get invited over to someone's - first thing a beer. You go out - drinks. They are trying to deal with a prob, yet getting it thrown in their faces all the time.

So many social problems are being classified as addictions. When this happens, the new addiction (but the old problem) gains a much higher profile. Addictions tend to then be classified as a disease (see history of alcoholism). And an industry grows up around this new addiction/disease. And the new addict in this new addiction has soemthing to fall back on for their behaviour. Support groups spring up. So from a combination of events a much higher profile for an old issue leaps into the public domain.

Nothing new to me. I found that out about 2 yrs ago while i was actively seeking women in POF and CL dating sites. Out of all the ladies I met, the 3 ladies I met surprised me.
