Actually, this seems to be a problem. However, there's a clear solution. What makes it addiction, apparently, is that they keep doing it despite devastating consequences. Since the devastating consequences are mostly a result of society's f'ed up attitudes toward sex, if people were more open minded about sex, these womens' behavior wouldn't have devastating consequences, and so by definition wouldn't be an addiction. Problem solved!

I wonder.....

Is this really a "growing problem"? or are they just getting around to taking note of whats always been there?

I bet you that young skinny women have no sex problems,...and who cares about old fat women and their issues?

Addiction to sex is like being addicted to food. We all need it, it just depends how much.

This is fantastic news. I am looking forward to the weekend. Now if they would only wear a button or something that I could pick them out at the club rather than having to waste my precious club/bar time weeding out the frigid ones trying to find that gem in the crowd.

Just go to Bellwood Health Services at Victoria Park & McNicoll Ave and stop all the hot ones who don't look like they have an addiction to Alcohol or Drugs or have an eating disorder before they go in for treatment. Basically you need to have a flask, some drugs and a cake to weed out the ones you don't want and condoms for the ones you do!

I pay all my psychologists (SPs) expensive rates to keep my addiction in check, so if men can offer a quid pro quo to these afflicted women by charging them in kind, then perhaps sexual desires would be kept in check. It's kinda like why lawyers charge $500/hr, so they can force people to pick their battles wisely, otherwise you'd have all sorts of schmucks taking advantage of the system and their time. It's amazing what money can do to behaviour. :)

This is especially my stance on "high-functioning professional" women who think they can have the cake & eat it too. Behind every successful man there is a great woman, and the same holds true for women. I think the alpha females/feminists are slowly beginning to come to this realization as I see so many of them still single, or divorced, or exploring becoming a lesbo, which is all different forms of failure IMHO. It takes two to make a thing go right and we need to respect each other and our desires. Men need women as much as women need men, and then the world will be in balance. I'm hoping 2012 will be the year.

I am sure many of us will provide "therapy" at reduced rates to help reduce the supress the urges of all the sexually addicted women.

A woman with sex addiction should become a SP and make money at it.

Strange how our society labels things. I really think some people just have a larger sex drive than the norm, and many on this board fit that category. Nothing wrong with it... it is just the way it is.

My girl friend in high school was labelled a slut and we both took a lot of crap from everyone when I started going out with her. But she just had a huge sex drive. Well worth the abuse (and I couln't believe the abuse) -she was a wonderful girl.

Some women ( and men) just need sex more than others.

This is an interesting article that leaves a lot to be discussed. I was pleased to read your post as I, until recently (since I started working as an SP to be more precise), struggled immensely with my sexuality. As far as I remember myself, while I enjoyed sex, I resented myself for having to satisfy the insatiable sex monster in me. It’s not as hot as it sounds, to be a 16 year old nymphomaniac, trust me on this one (well, for one my grades suffered terribly as I was too busy getting laid to study which jeopardized my admission to university). My porn collection rivaled that of many boys I knew and I went through the same thing in high school as your ex. Believe me, it was a very painful period of my life but now I found a way to make it work for me, not against me.

I would not call myself sex addict now, but my sex drive was certainly an addiction before, because according to one of the key definitions of addiction, my need to satisfy my sexual desires interfered with my life and I had no control over it.

I am a very happy girl now who learned to embrace my sex drive and found a way to make it a source of immense pleasure and satisfaction, most importantly not just for myself but for others too (as my reviews prove).
I want to make it very clear that I am not advocating escorting as a solution for everyone, but this is my story. There’s a lot more to say, but perhaps not in one post.
