I lived up north for a while. The Canadian Tire stores up there sell tires that can be studded but they do not sell studded tires. A basic search can show you that to be true and Ontario has banned them every wehre except northern Ontario.

I do not understand. We went to Canadian Tires. Told the clerk we wanted XYZ tires for a 2012 ABC vehicle. We picked the tires. They put studs in thetires and mounted them on wheels and on the car. We paid.

I believe if you bother checking you will find we could and did drive our studded tires legally in Southern Ontario and Toronto. As long as the vehicle is registered North of some magic line dividing North and Southern Ontario.

I am not certain I understand the point of you post. (not being sarcastic, just confused).

Sorry i am not trying to start a fight or anything. I was just giving you some experience of my life while i lived up there. They sold tires that can be studded but didnt sell any tires with studs. I lived in the Sudbury and North Bay area from when i was 10 till i was 30. Canadian Tire never sold studded tires during that time. Again sorry I am not trying to get into anything i just saying what i know from living there and having to get tires from time to time. Any self respecitng northerner wouldn't be caught dead driving with studded tires since we grow up in the snow lol.

I must be missing something. You go to Canada Tire and say, I want that tire with studs on my car. They make it happen. You pay them. I was there, I know it works. But you are telling me they do not sell studded tires? But you confirm they sell studs.

I really do not get it. One bill and studded tires are on the car. Sounds like selling them to me?

I don't want to get into anything with you and i wasn't trying to attack you i wias just sharing from my personal experience having lived in the North Bay and Sudbury area for a while.

It never fails. Loki says something and somebody with actual knowledge and experience calls bullshit. With most people it might happen once in a while. With Loki it is almost an iron law. Something you can bank on.

However most of their posts are about other things. When they do bullshit posts it isn't nearly as often as Loki.

Also their stories at least have plausibility. It is in theory possible that Fuji has a wife, girlfriends, escorts and a 1 percenter job but chooses to spend all his time here. I don't believe it, but it could happen. However the msloki character is not only less plausible but Loki has dropped the ball enough with various claims that it becomes not plausible at all.

In the 20 years i lived there studded tires were not available in any capacity. You could buy tires that you can take some where and get studs put in them. They didnt ssell studs or studded tires and wouldn't install studded tires. I didn't confirm they sold studs. They didn't offer anything to do with studded tires other than selling tires you could take some where else and get studded. My guess would be they dont want someone to run south and when they get pulled over and got a ticket the person would turn around and sue Canadian Tire for installing it and it being illegal in parts of Ontario. They may have changed the way they do things for the few minutes you were there but in my experience in the 20 years i was there they didn't sell them in any capacity. That does not fit my personal experience a few years ago.

I guess I could call the Canadian Tire in Sudbury and tell them I live up there and ask if they will "build" studded tires and put them on my car. But if they said yes I would just be accused of lying.

By the way it is quite legal to take your Northern Ontario registered car with your studs, and drive all over Southern Ontario during the winter. The idea it is illegal is just more BS.

My point in the original post was that many people on Terb know they are right, and are unwilling to do even basic research to check if they are. Simon was a truck driver who knew studs were illegal in Ontario and you could not get them.He refused to just call and ask.

I sort of adopted evidence based years ago and accept it as the way to deal with life in general.

After reading various posts and replies in another thread, I feel the need to "set the record straight". Nothing pisses me off more than all the uneducated and quite frankly retarded opinions of stupid people. I have been in this industry for just over 2 years and have met many amazing people along with the usual amount of idiots (as any other industry and profession). My life inside and outside of this profession as consisted of some horror stories, true blessings and amazing times(as everyother person of the freaking planet). I would never ASSUME why anyone makes the decisions and choices they do and I am completely and totally tired of others presuming they can do this with people who work in the sex trade.
I am a 40 year old woman who has been blessed with an amazing life. I have a great sense of humor, a great outlook on life, love the people in my life deeply. My choice and decision to work in this indusry in NO way involves some "grab a box of tissue" story or reason. Don't get me wrong, I am postive there are horror stories out there but come on, stop making such absurb assumptions about other peoples choices and decisions.
