Would that everyone knows their neighbors, but should it be illegal to call police when the caller saw what they thought was a crime in progress, of course not!
What crimes were in progress?? So was it right for the woman to call the police if she politically disagreed with the Senators stand against the President? Is that normal to call the police in that situation. Would she have done so if the Senator was "White"? Yes, you call the police if you notice something that is really suspicious, but not based on stereotyping as we have seen in the case of Starbucks or in the University Library. It is easy to verify in those circumstances prior to calling the Police.

So obviously you didn't bother to read the two articles -- believing someone is breaking into a house or breaking into a car are even if they turn out not to be what was actually going on, are crimes in progress.

Further reread #18

Obviously you have not responded but using a Canadian Law in your arguments about "Intent to cause Public Mischief" that is a totally different scenario.

But since you brought it up, let's look at Criminal Code (140) (1) (a)

"making a false statement that accuses some other person of having committed an offence;"

Should the woman have not been charged if that "Mischief Law" was implemented in the USA?

Again read the actual original thread posted by OP. Was that woman right to call the police if she disagreed with the stance of that Black Senator? What were the grounds for it. Explain it if you think that was an intent to cause a crime!!

But if there is currently nothing in place in the USA to charge people who are falsely calling in 911 based on prejudice against the Blacks what should be done to address it. I know you would not like to be subjected to such humiliation if you were at the end of such calls.

This is not new against Black Politicians. Here is another one:
