I have been out of the online poker game for quite some time. It goes back to when credit cards got shutdown for financial transfers in Canada.

I used to primarily play Party Poker and within that site I just liked the small table texas hold-em tournaments. 6 or 10 seats and low dollar buy-in like 5, 10, 20 dollars.

I am interested in killing time doing the same again. Any recommendation on sites that may work, describe how easy it is to get money deposited and withdrawn.

Thanks In Advance,
BD

Now I am more confused. I found what appears to be a legit website for Ontario which shows poker from Party Poker but when I try to play, it states due to location data, I am not permitted to play.

https://www.igamingontario.ca/en/operator/operators

Is there a still archaic restriction on online poker in Ontario? Do I need a VPN?

The big problem for online poker sites for Ontario residents is that last year ahole Doug Ford passed a bill limiting the number of sites that are licensed to operate in Ontario allowing about 6 sites available for us to play which means fewer players to fill games such as tournaments especially sit n go. The only one that has a good number of players is Poker Stars. Others available are Bet MGM, WSOP@GG, PARTY POKER and a few other smaller sites. I do not recommend BETMGM. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback Eddie. As I did try PartyPoker, as you mentioned, there was very little Sit-n-go activity and when I did try to play something I get this message. I assume Poker Stars may give me the same grief.

I forgot to mention 888poker which has a lot of freeroll tournaments but to me the best to play now is poker stars and although I am up $550 I get Soo many bad beats I wonder what the hell is going on. Yesterday in a tournament I had a high flush and lost to a low straight flush all in, WTF.

After I deposit , I go on winning streak but after one week , I started getting bad beat. It always happen at most gaming site. I tend to play part poker more as I dont get bad beats that often.

I agree, I have had this happen to me many times, however, I have noticed that when I get hot, I outflop other players many times, so it works both ways. I keep wondering if it is some kind of a computer pre program but since I have been winning much more than losing, I will continue to play. Another thing, I know that some of the smaller sites use bots to fill tournaments and if I spot them I delete that site.

It’s great to hear you're looking to get back into the small table Texas hold-em tournaments. For Ontario-friendly sites, you might want to check out platforms like 888Poker or PokerStars. They have a good reputation for ease of deposits and withdrawals, plus they support various payment methods, including e-wallets and bank transfers, which should make your financial transactions smooth and hassle-free.
While you're exploring poker options, if you ever feel like switching it up a bit, you might also enjoy checking out some slot gacor hari ini on the side. It can be a fun way to break from poker.

I play mainly play Poker stars, tournaments only, was doing very well for a few months but now can't seem to win anything but small amounts. 888 is okay but mostly have satellite tournaments for a chance to qualify for big money tournaments. Problem is they offer games that take place around dinner hour. The only others available to Ontario residents are GG Pokere, WSOP, Party Poker and Bet MGM which use the same platform and they suck. Also, there are not enough players to fill a lot of games. This is all to do with AHOLE Doug Ford changing the gambling rules for Ontarians. There are literally tons of poker sites around, some quite good but won't be given a license to operate here.
